Hyderabad-based electric two-wheeler maker Atumobile launched its first high-speed electric motorcycle called the Atum Vader. The electric motorbike is styled after a cafe racer and has a 100 km range. The early bird pricing for the first 1,000 customers is kept at Rs 99,999. Additionally, the company has begun taking reservations for the motorcycle, and one can book an Atum Vader by paying Rs 999 as a booking fee. Atumobile is offering the Atum Vader in five colours.
Recently, the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) approved Atum Vader high-speed electric motorcycle. Atum Vader is one of just two ARAI-approved electric bikes in the country.
If we talk about the specification and powertrain of the new Vader electric motorcycle, it is powered by a 2.4 kWh battery pack and can get up to a top speed of 65 km/h. On a full charge, the battery can take the scooter up to 100 km. The design of the electric motorcycle consists of a tubular chassis fitted with LED lighting on indicators and LED tail light.
Atumobile's founder, Vamsi G Krishna, shared his thoughts on the launch, This is a proud day for all of us at Atumobile. Atum Vader has been in the making for a while and its a great feeling when you see a dream become a reality& We are confident that the Atum Vader will be an inspired solution to our nations pollution crisis as well as the climate crisis the world is facing."
He further added, "We were able to design this electric bike keeping in mind Indian roads, and riders, with the assistance of our R&D experts and in indigenous solar-powered zero-emission facilities, making it a truly green and sustainable electric bike,"
The company's Patancheru factory in Telangana is where the Vader is made. The maximum annual manufacturing capacity for the plant is 3,000,000 electric motorcycles. According to a statement, Atumobile introduced its first electric bike, the Atum 1.0, in October 2020. It was a low-speed cafe racing variant that has already sold over 1,000 units.
