BMW CE 02 Electric Scooter India Launch: All Details
BMW CE 02 was introduced in the global markets last year. Sold in the USA & UK, the radical-looking CE 02 will launch later this year in India. As per an online report (source), the CE 02 will be a premium scooter that offers fast performance. It is sold in multiple variants with the top spec offering 15 hp of peak power & 90 km of riding range. The top speed of it is 95 kmph while the kerb weight stands at 132 kg. The combined power from two split batteries is 2kWh which powers it. Features include a digital screen with multiple ride modes, Bluetooth connectivity, flat board with motorcycle-like footpegs.
While it'll rival the TVS X scooter, the CE 02 is not going to be a cheap commuter. It is a niche EV and hence its pricing will also be premium. We expect that the debut price of it'll be around Rs 2.5 lakh in India. BMW India plans to launch it around the festive season this year. Moreover, it is built in collaboration with TVS in India itself. BMW has been a blunt OEM in introducing radical products. The C 400 GT maxi-scooter is a prime example of it. The CE 02 will become the second addition to the BMW scooter series.
Verdict
The upcoming CE 02 will be positioned as a premium EV. In fact, it might become the most expensive e-scooter in India when launched. We suspect that it'll be priced around Rs 2.5 lakh. Tell us in the comments what you think about the new CE 02.
