The spied images reveal distinctive features such as the floating front fender, a 21-inch spoked front wheel, an engine protection guard, a side-mounted exhaust system, and knuckle guards. Notably, few areas remain concealed in the images. With its reputation as the most budget-friendly dual-purpose adventure tourer in the market, the Hero Xpulse has gained a dedicated fan base. The addition of more performance to this model seems logical, although no official confirmation has been provided yet.
The design evolution appears to take a conservative route, with indications from the test mule suggesting that a significant portion of the bodywork and underpinnings might be retained from the current model. In terms of braking, the dual-channel ABS system will assist both the front and rear disc brakes, while the rear wheel will maintain its 18-inch size. The potential updates to the instrument console remain uncertain, and it may retain the existing LCD display.
Powertrain Updates
The forthcoming XPulse 210 is set to feature the chassis and engine derived from the Karizma XMR. While retaining most design elements from the current XPulse 200, the new model will introduce a range of fresh mechanical and hardware components. The current XPulse 200 boasts a 200cc oil-cooled engine with 19bhp whereas the upcoming 210cc liquid-cooled engine is expected to deliver improved performance, generating 25bhp and 20.4Nm of torque, coupled with a six-speed gearbox.
The official launch is expected in early 2025, accompanied by a notable price hike. Surprisingly, no official details have been released regarding the XPulse 400 or its launch timeline. According to certain reports, the project has experienced delays, pushing its launch timeline back by a few years.
Verdict
While the Hero Mavrick 440 continues its testing, the XPulse 210 is on the roads to prepare for a debut next year. While these are early stage testing of the revered adventure bike, the mechanics will be derived from the new Karizma XMR 210. The brand is betting big on this segment with a bigger XPulse 400 currently in pipeline for a debut at a later time frame.
