Last Updated On 2nd May’24 : Force Motors has launched the Gurkha 5-Door SUV with a starting price of Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom), while the 3-Door Gurkha starts at Rs 16.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Both models are powered by a 2.6-litre diesel engine, delivering 140 PS of power and 320 Nm of peak torque. Deliveries are set to begin in mid-May.
Price: The prices are yet to be revealed in the first week of May, but there is an expectation that it will start from Rs 15 lakh.
Engine: This vehicle is powered by a 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine, producing 138 bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque. It comes exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission. Equipped with 4x4 as standard, it also features manually locking front and rear differentials.
Dimension: The vehicle measures 4,390 mm in length, 1,865 mm in width, and 2,095 mm in height, with a wheelbase spanning 2,825 mm.
Brake and suspension: The suspension system features an Independent Double Wishbone with a Coil Spring at the front and a Multi-link with Pan Hard Rod & Coil Spring at the rear, both equipped with anti-roll bars for enhanced stability. As for braking, the front utilizes Disc brakes while the rear employs Drum brakes, all operating on a Hydraulic Brake system.
Features: It features a nine-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, all-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering, all four power windows, rear vents, air conditioner, USB socket, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, TPMS, central locking, speed sensing auto door lock, shift-on-fly 4x4 system(electronic shift), and more.
Colour: It's available in four different colours: green, red, white, and black.
Rivals: It directly competes with the upcoming 5-door Thar.
Ground clearance: It features a ground clearance of 233mm.
