Design

When it comes to design, both bikes feature very minimal aesthetics. The Honda Shine 100 DX features a large headlamp setup at the front, accompanied by a chrome encasement around it. Moving forward, you'll have a bit bulky fuel tank as compared to the Splendor, but it flows in the seat completely. The side panel boasts graphics along with Shine 100 DX badging. This bike is available in four colour options: Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, and Geny Grey Metallic.

On the other hand, the Hero Splendor Plus carry forward the similar design language since its inception. However, the brand made subtle changes by adding graphics to the panels, but the overall silhouette remains similar. At the front, it boasts a square-shaped headlamp along with a plastic covering around it. The fuel tank is small and flows into the seat. However, the side panels get a 3D badging of the Splendor+. Additionally, the rear section also boasts a square-shaped taillamp.
Features

These are budget-friendly commuter bikes, hence you can't expect much. The Honda Shine 100 DX gets an LCD instrument cluster which gives you important information like distance to empty, real-time mileage, speed, clock and more. On the other hand, the Hero Splendor Plus comes with an analog instrument cluster. However, the XTEC variant gets a digital instrument cluster along with several connectivity features.

In terms of hardware, both bikes remain identical. Both of them ride on telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, the braking duties are handled by a 130mm drum at the front and a 110mm drum at the rear. However, the tyre size happens to be different; the Splendor rides on 18-inch wheels while the Shine 100 DX rides on 17-inch wheels.
