Ola has finally released the latest software update for its e-scooter range. The 2022 Ola S1 MoveOS 3.0 is now available pan India. The latest update is available in the Beta version via the OTA platform. Additionally, existing customers will soon be invited for updating their scooters in a phased manner.
2022 Ola S1 MoveOS 3 Details
So, what does this update brings? Well, the first model to get beneficiary from this update is the Ola S1 Air. It has been recently launched in India and currently it is the most affordable scooter from the company. However, this does not mean that it is behind in terms of features. The newly launched scooter will get additional features like - riding moods, Bluetooth calling, proximity unlock, & even fast charging. Meanwhile, the other variants like the S1 and S1 Pro get additional features. They will get additional features like ICE sounds, etc.
Meanwhile, the Ola S1 is available in 3 variants. The affordable S1 Air was launched recently at a price of Rs 84,999. This scooter comes with a 2.5kWh battery pack which makes a peak power of 4.5kW. It can complete a true riding range of up to 76 km. Additionally, the top speed of the Air stands at 85 kmph. The deliveries of the newly launched Air will begin from the upcoming January 2023. To reduce the cost of it, Ola has removed the disc brakes and center stand. This has made the Air a whooping 26 kg lighter than the S1 Pro itself.
Verdict
Ola is already well-established in the Indian market as an EV maker. However, with a few hiccups like EV fire-related instances; Ola has coped well.
