
The French carmaker, Renault used to be known for the popularity of Duster and then Kwid came in and now the Kiger worked its magic in the compact SUV segment. For June 2021, Renault is providing discount benefits up to Rs 90,000 on select models. The carmaker currently sells Kwid, Triber, Kiger and Duster in the Indian market.

Renault Kwid

The entry-level hatchback rivals Maruti Alto800, Maruti S-Presso and Datsun Redi-GO. Renault is providing discount offers of up to Rs 42,000 that can be seen below in the table

Renault Triber

The 5+2 seater gets Rs 10,000 as cash, Rs 20,000 exchange and another Rs 10,000 as the corporate. If you book the Triber via Renault App then you do get an additional Rs 5,000 offer. However, this discount figure is reserved for RXT and RXZ variants only.

Under the hood, Renault Triber is available with a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol motor. This motor generates 71 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual and an optional AMT unit. This same engine is used in higher variants of Kwid and lower variants of their recently launched compact SUV, Kiger.
Renault Kiger

The most affordable compact SUV available in the segment right now, Kiger does not get any cash or exchange benefits per se but you do get loyalty benefits for 5 years or 1 lakh km if you're an existing Renault owner. Additionally, you do get Rs 10,000 as a corporate offer.
The 1.0L turbo petrol unit of the Kiger generates 99 bhp and 160 Nm of peak torque. This unit is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. For the CVT the torque figures stick to 152 Nm. Renault Kiger rivals Nissan Magnite, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Ford Ecosport, Tata Nexon, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Mahindra XUV300 and Maruti Brezza.

Renault Duster
The Duster was the only mid-size SUV that used to come with a 4WD mode but that was soon discontinued. Renault Duster lost its popularity when Hyundai Creta was launched and further when they decided to axe the oil burner. Renault Duster is now available with a discount of up to Rs 90,000 and that is seen in the table below

The 1.3L turbo petrol unit of the Duster is more powerful than the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. This unit generates 154 bhp with a peak torque of 254 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed manual and an optional CVT. The humble 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol churns out 105 bhp with 142 Nm of peak torque and this unit is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
