It is now official that Honda Cars India has commenced the bookings of BS6 Jazz at Rs 5,000. The bookings of the new BS6 Honda Jazz can either be done via their official website or through dealerships. Please note that if you are to book it at dealership level then there you have to pay Rs 21,000 as the booking amount.
With the bookings started on an official basis, we expect the launch is just around the corner. Once launched, it will rival the popular Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20 and Toyota Glanza. We expect the prices to stick between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi respectively.
This updated Jazz also comes with loads of changes on the exteriors. The first and foremost change is the inclusion of an electric sunroof which makes it a first in its segment. This new Jazz packs in LED treatment in the headlights, DRLs and also the fog lights. At the rear, you will notice the signature LED wing light.

Design-wise, both the front and rear bumpers are changed along with new high gloss black grille. The interiors more or less remain the same with the black and beige upholstery which gives the hatchback a premium look. The alloy wheels too remain with the same design as before.
Mechanically, Honda has now pulled the plug for the 1.5L diesel mill because of the poor sales. It now serves with the updated BS6 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol which comes mated to a 5-speed manual and an optional CVT gearbox. Interestingly, last year more up to 70% of the Jazz buyers opted for the CVT unit which also gets paddle shifters. Honda Jazz is the only premium hatchback to offer a one-touch electric sunroof along with paddle shifters.

The safety features on the new Jazz comes with dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, high-speed alert system, front seat belt reminder and among others. The higher variant with CVT gearbox might see Hill assist control also.
