Bajaj Auto is an Indian motorcycling giant that now stands as India's largest exporter of two-wheelers and three-wheelers. The Indian automaker exports to more than 70 countries in the world and nearly 36% of Bajaj's total sales always come from exports. Bajaj launched its hyper tourer machine Dominar 400 in 2016 and it was widely acclaimed all over the world for its long-distance touring capability. Then Bajaj introduced the upgraded 2019 Dominar 400 UG in India followed by the Bajaj Dominar 250 in 2020. The Dominar 400 became very popular in the International markets and to repeat the success, the Indian bikemaker will soon launch the Bajaj Dominar 250 in Global markets like Mexico, Philippines, and Latin America.

The Dominar 250 that will be sold in International countries will be made in India at Bajaj Auto's Chakan plant facility located near Pune in Maharashtra. The International-spec Bajaj Dominar 250 will be completely identical to the one sold in India and it will carry the same Dominar D250 moniker and the cycle parts will be borrowed from its elder sibling Dominar 400. The bike will also retain its design elements, engine specifications, and features and will be offered in two colour options - Canyon Red and Vine Black shade.
The India-spec Dominar 250 looks almost identical to the elder D400 except for the fact that it gets D250 moniker and the alloys are not in diamond-cut finish. The feature list includes slipper clutch, a fully LED headlamp with Auto Headlamp On functionality, a sporty looking (and sounding) twin-barrel exhaust, a fully digital main instrument cluster along with an auxiliary screen on the fuel tank for gear position indicator, etc. It is a touring motorcycle and thus it comes with bungee straps on either side of the seat to accommodate luggage while riding and also gets a strong aluminium side-stand.
Powering the Dominar 250 is a BS6-compliant 248.8cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled motor that produces 27 PS of power and 23.5 Nm of torque and it sprints from 0-100 kmph in a claimed 10.5 seconds. This is the same engine that also powers the KTM Duke 250 but is detuned to produce slightly lesser power and torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Bajaj Dominar 250 gets a 37mm upside-down front forks and a nitrox gas-charged mono-shock at the rear. The braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both the ends. The front gets a 300mm disc while the rear gets a 230mm disc and it also gets dual-channel ABS as standard. It runs on 17-inch wheels, the front is equipped with a 100-section tyre while the rear gets a 130-section unit.
