10 years ago, Renault created serious waves in the Indian market when they introduced the Duster. Cut to 2022, and Renault is in with a serious chance to project the Arkana as the perfect successor to the Duster. Here's why.
1. Unique Styling
It was the styling of the Duster that caught the fancy of the Indian consumers and proved that SUVs can be compact without losing out on the ruggedness that they offer. Despite being a compact SUV, the Duster had impeccable road presence.

The Arkana too is one good looking vehicle. The SUV-Coupe design looks something different and will be seen as a breath of fresh air in the segment and that is one aspect where the Arkana has a chance to catch the fancy of consumers in the segment.
2. Feature loaded interiors
This is one aspect where the Renault Duster failed miserably. The rather barebones cabin was an eyesore and a deal breaker for many potential buyers during the later years of it's sales lifecycle.
The Arkana will aim to rectify this mistake with its feature loaded interiors. A 10.2 inch virtual cockpit and a 9.3 inch touchscreen are some of the features that are expected to come on the Renault Arkana. The Arkana is also expected to get more safety kit compared to its predecessort.

3. Powerful and Efficient engines
The Arkana is slated to come with a 1.3 litre turbocharged petrol engine which will also benefit from some form of hybridisation. This would mean that the Arkana will not only be powerful but fuel efficient also. In one way, it could be well be an ode to the last batches of the Duster that came with the 1.3 turbo petrol which was known for the punch it packed.
