Lamborghini has just come out with its proper drift machine! The Huracan Evo RWD (rear-wheel drive) replaces the old LP580-2 and comes with cool tech inside!
'The visceral driving machine!', that's what Lamborghini calls the new Huracan Evo RWD. Lamborghini revealed the Huracan Evo last year but that was having a live-in with a clever track-focussed all-wheel-drive system. Now Huracan has moved on and hitched up with an RWD powertrain and it gets power from the same 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 with 602 bhp and 560 Nm of torque. These figures aren't the same as the regular Evo but definitely enough to tackle the corners with a blow of smoke.

Talking about the figures, it churns out 29 hp less than the standard Evo and only channels it to the rear wheels and that eats up the 0-100 time by 0.4 seconds. The claimed 0-100 time is 3.3 seconds where the Evo does it in just 2.9 seconds. The engine comes paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox to ensure the fastest shifts and carbon-ceramic brakes are also available as an option.
Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD also comes equipped with a meticulously tuned Performance Traction Control system (P-TCS) which doesn't abruptly cut the torque when you go sideways. It keeps a healthy flow of torque even in the corners and allows you to play a bit in the sideways before kicking in to hold you back. It is the sports mode where you can go complete hooligan but if you cross a certain angle of drift which is not in favour of safety, the P-TCS will intervein and cut the torque to get enough traction again.
You can't notice the changes made to the exterior unless you truly adore masterpieces and look at even minor details. To differentiate it from the regular Evo, Lamborghini has added a new front bumper, new front splitter, gloss back rear bumper with a diffuser, vertical fins and framed front air intakes. This tail-happy bull is very attractive and serves a purpose to sideways dwellers and the cherry on the cake is that it is $50000 cheaper than the Huracan Evo. That translates to more fun with fewer chances of bankruptcy!
