Odysse Electric has launched its newest product in India. The Odysse Vader electric bike is now launched at Rs 1,09,999 ex-showroom, Ahmedabad. It is India's first commuter e-bike to get a 7-inch TFT colour display. Read more details about it below.

Odysse Vader - Design
The design of Vader is unique despite the fact that it is based on the old-gen Bajaj Pulsar. Meanwhile, there are numerous changes done to accommodate the EV design. The front gets a round LED headlight. Also, the cockpit is a big 7-inch Android TFT display. Meanwhile, it also gets alloy wheels and a combination of aggressive decals on its body. It is also fitted with split seats and the rear end is unchanged when compared to the old Pulsar. The design is, hence, a mixed bag of emotions. However, it is available in a total 5 colour options. These are - Midnight Blue, Fiery Red, Glossy Black, Venom Green, and Misty Grey.
Features
Odysse claims to have fitted some of the first-ever features in the e-bike category of India. For example, it gets a big 7-inch Android display & a massive 18 lt of storage space as well. Additionally, it gets Odysse EV app support that helps in tracking the bike. It beholds the features like geofencing, live tracking, immobilization, & also low battery alert. It also gets 3 riding modes as well as a reverse parking mode.
Battery, Specifications, & Performance
Odysse has fitted a 3.7kWh battery pack on it. It is connected to a 3kW electric motor that supplies the power to the rear wheel. This battery has been rigorously tested for safety and hence it gets BMS & CAN support. All thanks to the bigger battery, it can do a certified riding range of 125 km per charge in Eco mode. Also, it can attain a top speed of 85 kmph.
Its total kerb weight is 128 kg. As per Odysse, this battery pack can be completely charged in under 4 hours. The battery pack is AIS-156 approved for fast charging as well. Braking duties are done by a 240mm front disc brake and a 220mm rear disc brake. It is also fitted with a CBS (combined braking system). It also gets front telescopic fork suspension and dual spring-type suspension at the rear end.
Verdict
Odysse has started accepting bookings for the Vedar for just Rs 999. The bike can be brought via any of the 68 showrooms available pan India. Meanwhile, its direct competitors in the market are - Revolt RV 400 & HOP OXO. Odysse is also providing a standard 3-year warranty on the battery pack and a 3-year warranty on its drivetrain.
