Honda Introduces 2nd-Generation BR-V In Indonesia

Honda has revealed the second-generation BR-V made especially for the Indonesian market. The upcoming car not only revives the carmaker's most affordable SUV but borrows heavily from the stunning N7X concept seen earlier. No surprise, then, that, the Honda BR-V now carries an enhanced design language that will differentiate it from its predecessors. Honda, with its new SUV, will also offer advanced features and technologies.

With the development of the second-generation BR-V, Honda has designed and structured the SUV to meet the new demands that the market has from a seven-seater car. Powering the Honda BR-V is a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine that produces 121 PS of maximum power and 145 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options on offer include a six-speed manual and CVT.

The All New Honda BR-V, which was launched for the first time in the world, was developed to provide a new definition of style, comfort and performance for driving pleasure for Indonesian customers, said Masayuki Igarashi, Chief Officer for Regional Operations (Asia & Oceania), Honda Motor.

Not many changes can be observed in the design language but the SUV carries the original BR-V's traits. Honda offers various features and technologies like Smart Entry System, Walk-Away Auto Lock, Honda Lane Watch, and Remote Engine Start. It also comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with all smartphone devices and a 4.2-inch drivers display.

Honda, for the first time, has introduced the Honda Sensing feature in the BR-V. This is a pack of advanced drivers assistance systems that provides collision warning with automatic braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic high beam, and adaptive cruise control. The Japanese automotive giant, Honda has designed the second-generation BR-V for Indonesian Markets only and has not revealed any information related to its launch in India.
