Just recently, Sonalika has introduced the first-ever field ready electric tractor, Tiger Electric and its prices start from Rs 5.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The units are manufactured in India and the design come straight from Europe.

Powering the Tiger electric is a 25.5 kW cooling compact battery which is also IP67 compliant in case the tractor does jobs in the watery fields. This motor also provides 100% torque at all times thus ensuring a swift and a lag-free delivery at any time of the day and night.

For those wondering about the charge time then Sonalika promises that the battery can be charged in 10 hours to full. The company also claims that the batteries can be charged by fast chargers also which will reduce the charging time to half.
Another interesting bit comes that for operating a 2-tonne trolley load it gives 8 hours of backup. The company also claims that the tractor is finely designed to keep the farmer's interest in mind as due to the lack of an engine, it does not provide heating, has better comfort and lower vibrations. The top speed of the Tiger Electric is 24.9 kmph.

As of now, the bookings for the Tiger Electric has started and the deliveries for the same will commence soon. The company aims to bring in more electric products and ensures that farmers adopt electric tractors for a pollution-free environment.
