The State Governemnt promotes the purchase of electric vehicles in each state according to their EV policies, which may or may not include a subsidy. The State subsidy amount needs to be claimed separately, post the delivery of the Ola scooter. FAME ll subsidy stands for Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles Phase II subsidy. It is introduced to promote the manufacturing and use of electric vehicles in India. It is a benefit given to reduce the upfront price of EV vehicle which can be 40% of the ex-showroom price or INR 15,000 per KWH of battery capacity. A person who has never claimed the FAME II subsidy before and has a valid identity proof for an electric 2-wheeler is eligible.
