The recently unveiled Duke 390 showcases a new design direction while preserving its classic silhouette. This update brings significant alterations, resulting in a more robust and edgy appearance. In particular, compared to the 2023 model, the LED headlight now boasts a wider profile, featuring more assertive boomerang-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs). The design improvements extend to the fuel tank shrouds, which are now more prominent and pronounced, complemented by a redesigned tank. Additionally, a fresh split-seat arrangement unveils the exposed rear subframe, contributing to the bike's rejuvenated aesthetics. With its newly introduced metal fuel tank and premium surface finishes, this latest member of the Gen-3 DUKE lineup exhibits unique visual elements influenced by the KTM SUPERDUKE.
The motorcycle offers a choice between two color variants: Electronic Orange Metallic and Atlantic Blue. The Electronic Orange option features an orange-colored fuel tank, sub-frame components, alloy wheels, and a black finish on various other parts. On the other hand, the Atlantic Blue variant showcases a blue-colored fuel tank and shrouds, complemented by a silver finish on elements like the rear, front mudguard, and other areas.

It boasts an all-new steel trellis main frame with a pressure die-cast aluminum subframe. The braking system includes a newly added 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, both supported by dual-channel Supermoto ABS with cornering capabilities. These brakes are complemented by 17-inch alloy wheels. The Duke 390 offers a seat height of 800 mm, with an optional 820 mm seat.
The introduction of a two-piece frame redesigned wheels, and brake discs have been meticulously engineered to achieve significant weight reduction across all models. These enhancements have enabled the Gen-3 KTM DUKEs to achieve their highest-ever power-to-weight ratio. Furthermore, the traditional steel subframe of the previous model has been replaced with a cast aluminum design. Despite its more delicate appearance compared to its predecessor, the new chassis is claimed to offer improved torsional rigidity, enhancing rider feedback.

The most recent version of the LC4c engine, renowned for its lightweight and compact construction, has been upgraded with a larger 399-cc capacity that propels the KTM 390 DUKE. This engine has been completely revamped, including enhancements to its cylinder heads and gearboxes. It delivers an impressive 45.3 bhp of power and achieves a peak torque of 39 Nm. Additionally, the engine features fresh castings for the crankcase and cylinder, along with a streamlined cylinder head design. Internally, it has increased in size, with its capacity growing from 373cc to 399cc thanks to a longer 64mm stroke, up from the previous 60mm, while maintaining the same 89mm bore.
