Hyundai Creta Electric
The Creta EV has finally arrived, competing against the Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e VItara. It builds on the familiarity and the success of the regular Creta with the familiar design, but with bits differentiating it as an EV. There are two battery pack options on offer, and it also gets an equipment list that is on-par for the segment.

Variant Recommendation
The Hyundai Creta is available in 6 primary variants and two battery pack options. The variant we recommend the most is the Smart(O) LR variant which comes with a 51.4 kWh battery pack. This variant offers a claimed range of 473 km on a single charge and delivers better performance with 171 PS of power. The Smart (O) LR comes with a decent number of features, and you can opt for an 11kW smart connected wall charger. This variant is priced at ₹21.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which is slightly on the higher side. However, considering the range it offers, it becomes the most recommended option.
Expert Verdict on Creta Electric
Hyundais’ entry into the mass EV segment was long due. The 2025 Creta Electric arrives in style and tries to carry forward the strong legacy of the brand name in an eco-friendly manner. This new EV looks excellent without going over the board, comes loaded with features and the larger battery pack offers more than ample range for most buyers. The Hyundai Creta EV plays safe but the pricing is on the higher side. However, company’s wide network, good after sales and upcoming EV eco system might lead to higher conversions. Do remember though, this segment has a lot of promising EVs on sale already.

Pros & Cons of Hyundai Creta Electric
Should I buy the Creta Electric?
If you're considering an electric mid-size SUV, the Creta Electric could be a solid choice. The Creta EV enjoys a strong brand reputation, and Hyundai’s extensive service network is a plus. Additionally, the electric version of the Creta comes packed with features, enhancing its attractiveness and making it more appealing for people looking for a feature-loaded electric SUV. However, its range is somewhat limited compared to competitors like the Mahindra BE 6 and the Tata Curvv EV.
-
The front-end bears heavy resemblance to the Creta N Line, but a blanked-out panel replaces the grille, and it also gets its charging port on the nose, behind the Hyundai flap.
-
The bumpers on both ends have been redesigned and they come fitted with air flaps to enhance aerodynamic efficiency and cooling.
-
The profile and the rear of the car also remain familiar, with the same doors, tailgate, and the tail lights. However, the Creta EV comes with 17-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels.

The layout of the dashboard is identical, featuring the same 10.25-inch blended screen setup for the infotainment and the digital cluster. However, the UI of the instrument cluster has been altered to differentiate it as an EV.
-
The steering wheel has been lifted off of more premium Hyundai cars, and instead of a conventional drive selector lever, it gets a column-mounted lever placed behind the steering wheel.
-
The Creta EV gets Level 2 ADAS, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, dual-zone climate control, a cooled glovebox, over 268 voice commands, voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, vehicle-to-load, and 70 connected car features via Hyundai Bluelink among other things.
-
The infotainment screen of the car can now also be used to make direct in-car payments for EV charging, thus enabling the car-as-a-payment platform.
-
Some other features include six airbags, hill-start assist, hill descent control, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitor, child seat anchors, rain-sensing wipers, a digital key, and front parking sensors.
