Vida V2 Electric Scooter Details

vida v2

The Vida V2 does not really look all that different from the outgoing V1 scooter. It might be two years old now, but it still looks rather fresh and smart, with a futuristic design language that still fits with the current trends and a mix of dual-tone treatment.

Let's get down to brass-tacks now; the numbers. There are three variants on offer; the V2 Lite, V2 Plus, and the V2 Pro. The V2 Lite is the base model, and it comes with a 2.2kWh battery pack, which gets an IDC-claimed range of 94km on a single charge, and it takes a claimed 3.3 hours for a 0-80% charge. At 116kg, it is also the lightest of the three variants, and it gets only two ride modes; eco and ride.

All three variants share the same electric motor, producing 8bhp and 25Nm of torque. However, the V2 Lite reaches a claimed top speed of 69kmph, while the Plus and Pro variants reach 85kmph and 90kmph respectively.

The V2 Plus gets a 3.44kWh battery pack, with an IDC-claimed range of 143km on a single charge, and it can be juiced up from 0-80% in a claimed 5.15 hours. The Plus variant tips the scales at 124kg, and it gets three ride modes on offer; eco, ride, and sport.

The range-topping V2 Pro gets a bigger 3.94kWh battery pack, which can be juiced up from 0-80% in a claimed time of 5,5 hours. This gives it an IDC-claimed range of 165km on a single charge. The Pro variant can be had in seven colour schemes, while the Plus can be opted for in five, and the Lite in four.

In terms of features, all three variants retain the 7-inch TFT cluster with OTA updates and day/night modes, along with follow-me headlights, keyless system, cruise control, electronic seat and handle lock, two-way throttle for regen and reverse, and 12-inch alloy rims among other things.

Verdict

The Vida sub-brand may have started out slow, but it is slowly and steadily catching up with the rest of the competition. Hero MotoCorp has been working on making the scooter refined and better for its buyers, and with the new upgrade, Vida might just be able to generate some more interest around the V2.
