Honda CB650R
The Honda CB650R is a premium middleweight neo‑sports cafe naked bike, priced around ₹9.2–9.6 lakh (ex‑showroom India), aimed at riders who want refined performance with everyday usability. It immediately stands out for its smooth 649 cc inline‑four engine with strong top‑end power and torquey character, while also offering a 5‑inch TFT display with Bluetooth smartphone connectivity and Showa SFF‑BP USD front forks that enhance both tech and handling appeal. The overall package feels balanced and modern yet characterful, blending sporty performance with commuter friendliness. That said, the absence of advanced riding modes and USB charging remains noticeable at this price point. Overall, the CB650R makes the most sense for riders seeking a stylish, fun‑to‑ride 650 cc with reliable Honda build quality.

Honda CB650R Detailed Review
-
The new CB650R now gets a slanted round-ish headlight, which makes the update look and feel rather subtle, but still fresh enough.
-
The rear of the new CB650R has also been revamped, as it now also gets a sharper tail-section with a new tail lamp.
-
The overall neo-retro, naked design has been retained from before, but with subtle tweaks to make it look fresh, and the familiar four-cylinder pipes may have a certain recall.
CB650R body specifications:
| Ground Clearance | 150 mm |

-
It is powered by a 648cc four-cylinder, liquid-cooled powertrain, producing 93.8bhp at 12,000rpm and 63Nm of torque at 9500rpm, while paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
-
Globally, the CB650R also comes in a variant that gets the newer E-Clutch system, which the India-spec model misses out on.
-
It makes use of 17-inch wheels on both ends, and the frame is suspended on Showa SFF USD forks up front, along with a monoshock with 10-step preload adjustability.
-
In terms of braking, the CB650R uses twin 310mm discs with a four-piston calliper up front, along with a 240mm disc with a single-piston calliper at the rear.
-
The new CB650R gets a new 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, with bluetooth connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app, music streaming, call/SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation and more.
-
In the accessories list, a quickshifter is available as an optional extra.
