Ferrari Purosangue

Last Updated on 26th Feb'24: The Ferrari Purosangue, though technically an SUV, is marketed as Ferrari's first four-door sportscar. It boasts a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine, generating 725hp and 716Nm of torque. Equipped with an 8-speed transaxle dual-clutch automatic gearbox for the rear wheels and an additional 2-speed gearbox for the front wheels, it offers all-wheel drive capability.

What we know so far?

The Purosangue will be powered by a more classic Ferrari V-12 engine. It's unclear whether this will be the same 6.5-litre engine used in the 812 Superfast. Ferrari offers a diverse range of eight- and 12-cylinder engines, with unconfirmed reports pointing to a plug-in hybrid powertrain based on an as-yet-unveiled V6 engine. Four-wheel drive and an automatic transmission will be standard. Purosangue is planned to have a height-adjustable, long-travel suspension system as well as a high ground clearance.

Engine: The Purosangue is powered by a V12 engine, specifically the same 6.5-litre unit found in the 812 Superfast, delivering 725hp with 716 Nm of torque along with All wheel drive capabilities.

Mileage: The combined mileage of Ferrari Purosangue is 5.7 kmpl.

Dimensions: The Purosangue impresses with its sizable dimensions: 4,973 mm in length, 2,028 mm in width, 1,589 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,018 mm.

Ground Clearance: The Purosangue's ground clearance of 185mm, expandable to 205-215mm.

Features: The Purosangue features rear-hinged suicide doors for easy access, electronically adjustable seats, a twin-binnacle cockpit with capacitive touch controls, and a configurable instrument cluster,  a touchscreen pop-up rotatory dial for the AC, touch controls on the steering wheel and center console, a wireless phone charger, massage function in front seats, rear heated seats and an optional entertainment kit in the rear.

Safety: The Purosangue comes equipped with a range of standard driver-assistance features, such as automated emergency braking, automatic high-beam headlamps, and adaptive cruise control. Additionally, it includes standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, as well as standard blind-spot monitoring.

Colors: It comes in 8 standard paint themes along with 1 additional colour. On top of this, it gets 5 Historical colour tones along with 8 shades of Classic theme. Completing the palette is one each of Matte and special edition paint job.

Price: The expected price for the Ferrari Purosangue is around 6-7 crore, placing it in the ultra-luxury segment of the automotive market in India.

Rivals: The Purosangue will compete with other luxury SUVs like the Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Cayenne Turbo in the Indian market.
