Aston Martin Vanquish Detailed Review
- In the whole wide world, if you count the top 3 best-looking cars of all time, an Aston Martin will definitely be on that list. As their cars aren’t just about performance, luxury, or tech, design is also a paramount characteristic of these cars, and the Vanquish is just at the zenith of automotive designs. Only one glance is required to madly fall in love with it, and the rest of everything will follow.
- Front end redefines the word gorgeous as the grille matches with the overall size of this car, and the matrix LED headlights, plus carbon fiber front splitter has great design elements along with great functionality.
- The 21-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, with carbon ceramic brake pads, on 275/35 ZR21 Pirelli tyres add another touch of excellence to the Vanquish. Plus, the wheels are offered with satin, gloss, or diamond paint finishes.
- Talking about its side profile, this is the point where one realizes how long this 2-seater roadster really is. The hood, which houses the hand-built V12 engine, is colossal. Also, to provide more ways for the V12 to cool, the hood features air outlets, again covered in carbon fiber, which is just another sign that this is not your regular sports coupe.
- Now, onto the rear profile, where this car has the most interesting and modern design elements. First of all, there is no dedicated spoiler, but the shape of the rear tail is so aerodynamically upright, that it appears like a huge spoiler from outside.
- Also, the central area of rear, features an customisable shield, on which the lettering of the Aston Martin brand is done. This latest design element gives a realization, that how wide is the Vanquish, and also sets it apart from any luxurious car on sale.
- For the tail-lights, this time Aston did something unprecedented. There are 7 unique blade LED setups, which look ravishing when lit up, and will fix the Vanquish styling in your head.
- Now, the last thing, but a very crucial one: the quad-core exhaust is there, and the overall coverage is done in carbon fiber. Plus, at the bottom center, there are diffusers, which are very crucial for any car with a V12 engine.
Vanquish body specifications:
| Wheel Size | R21 |
| Ground Clearance | 120 mm |
| Boot Space | 248 liters |

- This 5.2 L twin-turbo V12, is a hand built in Great Britain, and this isn’t sourced from anybody, but Aston Martin built it itself.
- 835 ps and 1000 Nm of torque, is sent to real wheels only via an 8-speed DCT.
- Its body is made of aluminum, with heavy use of carbon fiber, resulting in an overall weight of just 1910 kg. This is impressive, considering the size and massive weight of the engine alone.
- The weight distribution of the vehicle is nearly perfect, at 50/50, as the engine is front mid-mounted, far behind the front wheels, so the handling would be extremely crisp and sharp.
- 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, and the top speed is 345 km/h.
- Suspension duties are given to the double wishbone at front and multi-link at rear.
Vanquish engine specifications:
| Transmission | Automatic |
| Engine | 5203 cc |
| Power | 835 bhp @ 6500 rpm |
| Torque | 1000 Nm @ 2500-5000 rpm |
| Drive Train | RWD |
- The overall interior layout is quite similar to the Vantage, but the overall experience is way ahead, because it's also quite a wide car.
- There are two 10.25-inch screens inside, one dedicated to the infotainment screen and one for the MID. However, the older generation of Aston Martin cars had this unique reverse analog tachometer, which the digital ones can’t match.
- For a car with such a big price tag, the speaker quality should be exceptional. So Aston Martin uses 15 speakers from bowers and wilkins.
- Surprisingly, this car has 8 ADAS features on offer, and this one is a camera and radar based system.
- Both seats feature electronically adjustable settings, along with lumbar support and a massaging function.
- Thankfully, to operate anything, one doesn’t have to use touchscreens, as there are buttons to perform every action.
