Hyundai Exter
Hyundai’s smallest ‘big’ vehicle is the micro SUV, Exter. Oddball design aside, the Exter ticks all the right boxes for someone looking at an affordable large vehicle. The cabin is not only spacious, it is also well laid out, practical and upmarket. The Exter offers a CNG option (very important), a very comfortable ride and sizeable boot for weekend runs. Although crash test safety ratings are questionable, the Exter’s value card does the trick for new car buyers. The dual CNG cylinders ensure that boot space is not compromised much.

Variant Recommendation
The Hyundai Exter scores well when it comes to practicality and value for money. However, if you're looking for a variant that offers a good amount of features without breaking the bank, Hyundai recently launched two new variants — S(O) + MT and S + AMT. Positioned above the second variant, S, these trims bring a lot of high-demand features at an acceptable price. For example, the S(O) + is priced at Rs 7.93 lakh, while the S+ AMT costs Rs 8.51 lakh. The key difference between the two is the manual gearbox in the S(O) + and the AMT in the S+. Features in these variants include an electric sunroof, an 8-inch infotainment screen, rear AC vents, vehicle stability management, and LED DRLs. If you move up to the SX variant, the additional features are relatively fewer, but you can also explore the Knight Edition of the Exter there.
