KTM ventured into the adventure motorcycle segment of India in January 2020 with the launch of the all-new KTM 390 Adventure. The KTM 390 ADV was an instant hit in the Indian market. People loved this touring-focused motorcycle from this Austrian two-wheeler manufacturer. Buoyed by the phenomenal response of the 390 ADV, KTM decided to launch the 250 ADV too. The KTM 250 Adventure was launched in India just a couple of weeks ago. And now, the company has launched the new 2021 KTM 250 Adventure and the new 390 Adventure in Malaysia. Here are all the details about them.

2021 KTM 250 Adventure Malaysia Price

Before we begin with the details of the motorcycle, let us first have a look at their prices. So, in this table below, we have compared the India prices of the new 2021 KTM 250 Adventure and the 390 Adventure with their prices in Malaysia. At present, the all-new 2021 KTM 250 Adventure BS6 is priced at Rs. 2.48 lakhs while the KTM 390 Adventure is priced at Rs. 3.10 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. Now, talking about their Malaysian prices, so in Malaysia, the KTM 250 Adventure is priced at RM (Malaysian Ringgit) 21,500 which translates to around Rs. 3.90 lakhs. The KTM 390 Adventure, on the other hand, has been launched in Malaysia at RM (Malaysian Ringgit) 30,800 which translates to around Rs. 5.61 lakhs. Have a look at this table:

The new 2021 KTM 250 Adventure and the new KTM 390 Adventure BS6 are made in India at the Bajaj Auto's Chakan test facility located near Pune in Maharashtra. Both these motorcycles are manufactured in India and are then exported to several other countries all over the world. The India-spec motorcycles and the global-spec motorcycles are completely identical, but, there's only one difference and that is in their front suspension. The India-spec KTM 390 ADV gets non-adjustable front suspension while the global-spec motorcycle's USD forks have adjustable compression and rebound. So, apart from this one feature, the rest of these motorcycles are entirely the same as their India-spec counterparts.

Talking about their powertrain options, so the new KTM 250 Adventure is powered by a BS6-compliant 248.8cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine. This is the same motor that also does its duty in the Duke 250. This motor churns out 30 PS of maximum power at 9000 RPM and 24 Nm of peak torque at 7250 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. This new quarter-litre ADV from KTM also gets a technologically advanced Power Assist Slipper Clutch (PASC). This slipper clutch allows for a smooth and jerk-free clutch-less down-shifting. The new KTM 390 ADV, on the other hand, is powered by a BS6-compliant 373.2cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This is the same motor that also does its duty in the Duke 390.

This motor churns out 43.5 PS of maximum power at 9000 RPM and 37 Nm of peak torque at 7000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and gets a host of electronics too.
