Touchscreen Infotainment System
The Honda City comes with a 7.99-inch infotainment screen that feels perfectly fitted in the middle of the vertical air vents. The overall layout of this screen is top-notch, and after the facelift, the previous issues like poor camera quality, low-resolution screen, and bad interface have been resolved. Now, it feels modern and even gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Variants Available:
Surprisingly, this touchscreen infotainment system is available in all variants of the Honda City, from the base SV to the ZX.
Competitors With The Same Feature
The main rivals of the Honda City are the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and Maruti Ciaz. Except for the last one, every other sedan gets a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, which is way better than the screen offered with the Honda City. If we simply talk about the Hyundai Verna's 10.25-inch touchscreen, it is miles ahead of the City's in terms of usage, resolution, and interface.
Semi Digital Driver's Dispaly
In the Honda City, a half-digital and half-analog driver information center is available. It is neatly laid out, and the dials are big enough to provide all the necessary information. The half-digital screen shows all the information related to the car, such as range, trip meter, G-meter, tire pressure monitor, rear sensors, and more. If you want to see only the RPM, it will hide all other windows.
Variants Available:
This semi-digital driver's display is available only in the top model, the ZX.
Competitors With The Same Feature
Honda City's competitors have switched to all-digital driver displays, except for the Ciaz. All of them provide navigation information, car-related information, and different settings depending on the drive modes. In the end, it all comes down to personal taste, whether you prefer the all-digital display or the half-digital one. However, the fully digital display offers the option for full customisation.
Level 1 ADAS
Earlier, this tech was limited to the City hybrid, but now even the manual variants get to experience ADAS. So, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, auto high beam, and road departure mitigation system are available from the second trim, V, making the Honda City one of the cheapest vehicles to get the ADAS feature in India. Additionally, the V variant costs Rs 12.70 lakh ex-showroom, and in Delhi, the on-road price will go up to Rs 14.45 lakh.
Competitors With The Same Feature
Only the Hyundai Verna gets the ADAS feature among the rivals, and it takes it one step further by offering Level 2 ADAS. The Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia don't have this feature, but according to several media reports, Skoda will include it by 2025.
One Touch Power Window Button
One of the rare features that the Honda City offers is the one-touch power window button. Everyone hates having to keep pressing the power window button until the entire window goes down. In this scenario, Honda provides a one-touch power window option not just for the driver's seat but for every seat. Additionally, this feature is hard to find even in several high-end cars that cost somewhere between Rs 30 to 40 lakh.
Plus, this feature is available with a pinch guard as well, so if someone's hand gets in the way, the windows will retract.
Competitors With The Same Feature:
None of its competitors provide this feature, and it shows how Honda pays attention to detail to provide the utmost comfort and luxury to its customers.
Lane Watch Camera
The Honda City borrowed this feature from the larger Honda Civic, which left the country in 2021. Lane-keeping assist is a very handy feature, as sometimes the driver can't see objects in the blind spot of the left mirror, which can lead to accidents. Here, the lane watch camera helps by automatically turning on when you press the left indicator, as it is only available on the left side. Additionally, after the facelift, its quality has significantly improved.
Variants Available:
The Lane Watch camera is available starting from the VX, which is the second-top variant of the Honda City.
Competitors With The Same Feature:
None of its competitors provide this feature, and although the Hyundai Verna comes with radar sensors to detect vehicles in the blind spot, it doesn't offer a clear view of the lane. So, the Honda City is ahead of its competitors in terms of safety features.
