Hyundai Verna Old Vs New: Exterior

Front Profile

Coming straight to the exterior, things have seriously changed on the front fascia especially. Though the new model derives some elements from its predecessor, it houses them all with sleek and more contemporary aesthetics. In the front, now this sedan features split headlamps and a connected LED DRL strip. Apart from this, the Hyundai logo is repositioned and is now placed on the bonnet of the sedan instead of the grille. Things that remain the same on the front are the edgy cuts, shaping the profound grille.

Rear Profile

At the rear, there is a connected LED bar extending throughout the length of the car. Additionally, the sedan now doesn't get triangle-shaped tail lights, instead, it now features vertically stacked H-shaped LED tail lamps which look good enough. Also, the Verna badging is now positioned at the centre rather than at the top of the tailgate. Apart from this, the indicators are not housed in the taillamps. Instead, they are now separated units placed under the taillights. Another change at the back is a "parametric" mesh pattern on the bumper, replacing the chrome strip that the older model used to get.

Side Profile

However, the overall silhouette remains the same for the new Verna, it gets better and sharper curves on the sides when compared to the previous gen model. Despite getting an updated side profile, the new Verna continues to come with 16-inch alloy wheels.

Hyundai Verna New Vs Old: Interior

However, there is a new interior on offer with the new Verna, but the colour scheme remains the same as the older model. The sedan still gets black and beige interior options with most of the trims. The automaker has addressed a big by providing a comprehensively updated interior as the cabin of the older car felt outdated in front of the rivals. The new Verna comes with dual-horizontal which comprises AC vents and controls rather than the conventional dashboard that the previous model had. Also, there's a new two-spoke steering wheel. The new Verna gets fewer physical buttons on the new Verna.

Hyundai Verna New Vs Old: Features

The all-new Hyundai Verna features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that replaces the older 8-inch unit. Another noticeable thing is that there is a continuous panel on the car that houses both infotainment and digital driver's display. The digital instrument cluster is the same as the older model but with improved graphics. Additionally, the new Verna comes with ambient lighting throughout the cabin rather than the basic mood lighting that used to come with the previous gen model.

The new Hyundai Verna comes with a bigger list of features when compared to the older model. The new Hyundai Verna features heated and ventilated seats and powered driver seats. On the safety front, there is a major improvement on the new model- six airbags as standard rather than two on offer with the previous model. Additionally, the new one comes with a camera and radar-based ADAS system for better safety.
