Jawa 42 Bobber Pros
Pro 1: A Unique Design
Having a unique design is the biggest advantage of the Jawa 42 Bobber. There is no other motorcycle available in the segment that comes with a similar design language. It features compact LED headlamps, tank pads and knee recesses. One of the biggest design highlights remains its low seat height and an upgraded saddle design.
Pro 2: More Features
Unlike other Jawa models which get only traditional equipment, the Jawa 42 Bobber comes loaded with features. With the Jawa 42 Bobber, you get a fully digital instrument cluster and full LED lighting. Additionally, it also gets a premium switchgear and USB charger, and a slipper clutch mechanism.
Pro 3: Performance
The Jawa 42 Bobber comes powered by a 334cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 30 bhp of power and 32.7 Nm of torque. The provided powerhouse is a reliable unit and it satisfies with its performance. It provides a smooth ride during both mid and high revs. Overall, I can say that you'll not complain about the Jawa 42 Bobber's performance if you are a rider who usually rides at mid-revs.
Pro 4: Price Point
Considering all the pros mentioned above, the pricing also proves to be a great advantage for this motorcycle. The Bobber-style motorcycle starts at Rs. 2.06 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to 2.09 lakh (ex-showroom) in India which is decent pricing for any motorcycle in this segment.
Jawa 42 Bobber Cons
Con 1: Not so Practical
The 42 Bobber is not a practical motorcycle as you get no pillion seat in any of its trims. Apart from this, it has very little space for mounting luggage. However, the company provides a rear-fender luggage rack as an accessory, but they will also not be able to handle saddlebags. Another miss in the practicality is the braking capabilities which have a large scope of improvement on this motorcycle.
Con 2: Comfort
Another major disadvantage of buying a 42 Bobber could be the lack of comfort. This motorcycle has a very bumpy suspension which feels stiff at times. If you want a motorcycle for travelling long distances, this motorcycle is not for you.
Con 3: Engine Refinement is Not Impressive
However, the provided powerhouse impresses with its performance on low revs and mid revs. After 5500 rpm, the unit starts vibrating which is the worst part. Apart from this, the motorcycle has really bad NVH levels and the provided six-speed transmission is not so good as it lacks smoothness.
