Renault Triber VS Maruti Ertiga Mileage
The ARAI-tested mileage of Renault Triber's manual variants is 19 kmpl, while the AMT variants offer 18.2 kmpl. However, user data reports that with a light foot and if the car is not fully loaded, achieving 21 kmpl with this engine is not a big deal.
Maruti Ertiga is a fuel-sipper, with the 1.5L petrol engine delivering an ARAI-tested 20.51 kmpl, and with the automatic transmission, it remains consistent at 20.30 kmpl. However, if youre going to spend most of your time on the highway, consider opting for the CNG version, which offers a mileage of 26.11 kmpl.

Verdict
The Maruti Ertiga VXi CNG is a perfect choice for families as it covers all the basic features and offers over 26 kmpl of mileage. Most importantly, it costs Rs 11 lakh, but in the long term, this variant will save owners a lot of money. The Renault Triber, on the other hand, feels shallow and is better suited as a hatchback rather than a 7-seater. The engine is lethargic, and the overall personality of this car is forgettable compared to the Ertiga. Therefore, the Maruti Ertiga is the clear winner in this comparison.
