The Suzuki Access 125 has been a mass-market scooter in the country since 2007. A decade ago, this scooter was the first choice of college-going youngsters who loved its design and peppy 125cc engine. The massive success of this scooter prompted Honda to launch its Activa 125 to meet the demand and offer customers a taste of a larger displacement engine.
Over the years, Suzuki hasn't updated the design or engine but has added more features to appeal to the new generation of young adults looking for scooters to commute to college. Let's check out the current updates, and in the meantime, join the 91Wheels WhatsApp Channel to never miss any automotive news.

Suzuki Access 125 Design
Over 17 years of sales, only the design of the headlights and taillights has changed, while the rest of the body remains the same. The current Access 125 features chunkier LED headlamps, which look beautiful and large. The earlier model's light was more curved and had a distinctive style. Additionally, the turn signals are halogen, but below them are LED DRLs, which make this scooter elegant rather than sportier.
Moving to the rear, the taillamps are halogen, but like the front, they have also become chunkier and seem like they want to pop out. Additionally, the fuel lid is situated above the lights and is painted in chrome, which matches the overall aesthetics of the scooter.
Talking more about the design, it is available in seven paint options, three of which are dual-tone colors. These colors give the scooter a very premium feel. Plus, the alloy wheels are also available in both black and silver finishes.
Suzuki Access 125 Features
Now, this is the most interesting part because major changes have been made in this area. First of all, the Ride Connect Edition gets a digital instrument cluster, which allows the rider to connect their smartphone via Bluetooth. Now, they can use this screen for turn-by-turn navigation to reach their destination.
Additionally, notifications, call alerts, message alerts, overspeed alerts, and phone battery information are displayed here. In this regard, the Access 125 has taken a big leap forward. Plus, there is a USB socket near the front storage area, allowing riders to charge their devices on the go.

Verdict
The Suzuki Access 125 is essentially the same scooter, with only minor updates. It still uses the same engine, which produces 8.7 PS and 10 Nm of torque, and offers a mileage of 45 kmpl as per ARAI. The digital screen has been upgraded, providing an additional reason to choose it over the Honda Activa 125. However, when compared to the TVS Jupiter 125, it feels a bit outdated. Still, it's a good machine that's enjoyable to ride and looks good.
