Tata Tigor First Look Review - Safe and Stylish Compact Sedan

The Tata Tigor traces its roots from the shortest sedan in the world - Tata Indigo CS. For the uninitiated, Tata Motors was the brand which kickstarted the compact sedan segment and the Dzire, Amaze and the likes followed later. Now, this segment has got a lot of competition and even VW came with a compact sedan called the Ameo. Tata Motors is continuing this curated segment with the Tigor. Let's see what the Tata Tigor has to offer in its first look review.

Tata Tigor First Look Review - Exteriors

The design of the Tata Tigor has been derived from the Tata Tiago. The engine, gearbox and major parts have been carried over from its sibling, like in case of other cars of this segment. Tata also revamped the looks of both the Tiago and Tigor with the BS6 update. The Tigor is the distinct compact sedan of its segment as it features a Sportback design.

The front of the Tigor gets a chrome grille, flanked with projector headlights whereas the DRLs sit on the bumper. The side profile sports a sloping roofline and 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear sees coupe-esque stance and LED taillights. Talking about the dimensions, the Tigor measures 3993mm in length, 1677mm in width and 1532mm in height and comes with a wheelbase of 2450mm.

The engine is fairly responsive and Tata has also improved the refinement of the engine with BS6 update. The fuel tank capacity of the Tigor is 35 litres but there is no claimed economy from Tata.
