Exteriors And Interiors
The all-new dark editions of Citroen dark editions offer a pearl black exterior colour highlighted by chrome accents on the front grille. On the side, it gets a chevron badge and body side mouldings. Additionally, the bumpers and door handles get a gloss-black finish. While the dark badges can be easily found on the boot and front doors.
Stepping inside, you'll notice Metropolitan Black leatherette seats with Dark Edition badging. Moving ahead, the dashboard leatherette comes with striking Lava Red stitching to enhance the overall appeal. A high-gloss black finish highlights the key touchpoints within the cabin.
Powertrains
The dark edition of Basalt and Aircross is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, clubbed along with a manual or automatic transmission. This unit belts out 110 hp and 205 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the C3 comes with both engine options: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine. The 1.2-litre unit produces 82 hp and 115 nm of torque. The NA petrol comes mated with only a 5-speed manual transmission, while the 1.2-litre turbo unit is paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter unit.
Pricing
Pricing remains important for an Indian buyer, The dark editions are exclusively available in the top variants only. However, according to the brand, these editions will be available in limited numbers. The Citroen C3 Aircross dark edition comes at a starting price of Rs 8.38 lakh (ex-showroom), the Basalt sits at Rs 12.38 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Aircross comes at Rs 13.13 lakh (ex-showroom).

Verdict
Citroen's new Dark Editions bring a cool and stylish blacked-out look to their existing cars. With small design changes on the outside and inside, these editions look more premium and sporty. There are no changes to the engine or features, but if you like black cars and want something that stands out, these limited-edition models are a great pick.
