Italian electric vehicle brand VLF has kicked off its India journey with the launch of the VLF Tennis electric scooter. The VLF Tennis is launched in a single variant and is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Pros

Attractive Design & Light Weight Construction

The VLF Tennis comes with an attractive design which gives it a distinctive look. The scooter features a slanted front apron with sleed LED turn indicators, a rectangular headlight unit consists LED bezel which acts as the DRL, and twin-projector LED headlamp. The side profile gets a curvaceous body which somewhat look similar to other Italian scooters. The rear gets sleek LED taillamp. Moreover, the Tennis weighs only 88 kg which makes it one of the lightest scooter in the segment.

Loaded With Good Number Of Features

VLF Tennis is packed with a decent number of features. It comes with a digital TFT instrument console, it features Bluetooth connectivity, three ride modes, keyless operation, projector LED headlamp, LED DRL and turn indicators among other features.

A High Power Motor

The Tennis comes with a 2.5 kWh battery pack and a 1500W motor which churns out 157 Nm of peak torque. It offers an IDC claimed range of 130 km and a top speed of 65 km/h. The 130 km claimed range is decent for a scooter in this segment.

Cons

Top Speed Is Low Comparative To Rivals

The VLF Tennis comes with a top speed of 65 km/h only. The scooter competes with the likes of Olx S1 Pro, Vida V1 Pro and other high speed electric scooter which offers a top speed of over 100 km/h. Also, the brand could've made it more performance oriented scooter to make it more competitive in the segment.

Brand Recognition

VLF is a new brand in the Indian market and it competes with some of the well-established rivals in the Indian market. The brand currently have few stores in India and the customers in India usually prefer brands which offers a vast sales and service network across the nation.

Not A Fun To Ride Scooter

The VLF Tennis is not a fun to ride scooter, it offers rather mediocre performance considering the price point it comes at. If we talk about the rivals they offer better performance and an exhilarating riding experience. Moreover, the pricing is bit on the higher side considering its performance and features.

VLF Tennis is a new electric scooter which entered the highly competitive Indian two-wheeler matket. The VLF Tennis looks good but it is not that great in terms of performance and range. Rivals like the Ather 450, Ola S1 Pro and others offer better performance and features.
