A few weeks ago, we brought to you an Exclusive report on the Bajaj Pulsar 125 Split Seat BS6. We shared with you the new prices, specifications, colour variants, live images and all other changes made in this BS6 model. And now, Bajaj Auto has finally launched this motorcycle in the country. The new 2020 Bajaj Pulsar 125 Split Seat BS6 has been officially launched in India. This new premium 125cc sporty commuter has been priced at Rs. 79,091, Ex-showroom Delhi. Let's now dive in to have a closer look at some more details about this Baby Pulsar.
The Pulsar 125 Split Seat was first launched in India in September 2019 but it wasn't made available across the country. Initially, it was launched only in some limited places like in Telangana, Maharashtra and some North-Eastern states. The BS4 Pulsar 125 Split Seat was completely identical to the Pulsar 150 twin disc and so the prospective buyers and the Pulsar Fanboys were waiting for the launch of its BS6-compliant model. However, the BS6 Pulsar 125 Split Seat wasn't initially launched. But now, it has finally made its comeback in the BS6 avatar and in terms of appearance, it resembles the Pulsar 125 Neon. It borrows design cues from the Pulsar 150 twin disc while the colours resemble the Pulsar Neon editions.
The new 2020 Bajaj Pulsar 125 Split Seat differentiates itself from the Pulsar 125 Neon in multiple ways. Firstly, it gets new body colours and revised graphics. Also, as its name goes, it gets a split seat set-up, split grab rails and muscular tank shrouds. It also gets an engine cowl (belly-pan) which has dual characteristics. It protects the engine from unwanted particles on broken patches and also gives it a sporty appeal. The new Pulsar 125 Split Seat BS6 is available in three colour variants. These are Neon Green on Matte Black, Black with Silver and Black with Red paint scheme. Also, Pulsar fans rejoice, this time it will be available across all the Bajaj Auto dealerships in India.

Talking about the engine, it gets the same 125cc engine that also powers the Pulsar 125 Neon. It is powered by a BS6-compliant 124.4cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected DTS-i engine. This motor churns out 11.8 PS of maximum power at 8500 RPM and 10.8 Nm of peak torque at 6500 RPM. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Pulsar 125 Split Seat offers good ride quality with telescopic front forks and nitrox gas-charged rear shock absorbers. For braking duties, it gets a front disc brake and a rear drum brake along with combined braking system (CBS), which Bajaj calls an anti-skid braking system. The bike also features some best-in-class features like a powerful engine, clip-on bars, an all-digital instrument cluster etc.
The new 2020 Bajaj Pulsar 125 Split Seat BS6 is available only in a single variant with a 240 mm disc at the front and a 130 mm drum unit at the rear. It has been officially launched in India at Rs. 79,091, Ex-showroom Delhi. The new Pulsar 125 Split Seat BS6 has already started arriving in dealerships across the country. At this price point, it rivals other 125cc commuters like the Hero Glamour, Honda SP 125, Hero Super Splendor, Honda Shine and its own sibling Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon.
Commenting on the launch, Mr Sarang Kanade, President, Bajaj Auto said, We are excited to bring out a new Pulsar 125cc variant offering. Pulsar 125 launched in August last year, soon became one of the fastest-growing Pulsar variants with more than 1 lac bikes sold within 1st 6 months of launch. The new Pulsar 125 Split Seat will attract premium commuter segment customers who have always wanted to buy a sporty motorcycle with outstanding performance, style, and thrill at an amazing price point. While the last few months have been testing times for both the industries and consumers alike, we hope the new Pulsar 125 Split Seat variant will re-ignite consumer interests and receive an equal amount of love, admiration and acceptance such as that of the Pulsar 125.
