BMW Motorrad India recently launched the new BS6-compliant BMW G310 Twins in the Indian market. The BMW G310 Twins are the most affordable BMW motorcycles and they were first launched in India in the year 2018. They became an instant hit, however, they were priced on the premium side. This time, the company rectified its mistake by launching the G310 Twins at a very aggressive price. The new BS6-compliant G310 Twins have received cosmetic and mechanical updates and also new features have been added but still they cost significantly less than their BS4 counterparts. 2020 BMW G310 R BS6: Looks and Colour Options
The new 2020 BMW G310 GS BS6 has got plenty of cosmetic updates. It gets new colour schemes, new attractive graphics on the body panels and more. Upfront, one can see that it now gets a new all-LED headlamp with BMW LED branding and a daytime-running LED in between and a small visor atop. It also gets flashing LED turn indicators and LED taillamps at the rear. The Beemer now gets revised tank extensions, new belly pan and radiator shrouds which improves its aesthetic appeal. It also gets RALLYE branding on the high-raised front fender and the triple-tone colour scheme looks very good. The new G310 GS BS6 is available in three colour variants. They are Polar White, Kyanite Blue Metallic (Style Rallye) and Cosmic Black (40 years of GS Edition).

2020 BMW G310 R BS6: Engine, Transmission and Mileage
The new 2020 BMW G310 GS is powered by a BS6-compliant 313cc single-cylinder, liquid/water-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor churns out 34 PS of maximum power at 9500 RPM and 28 Nm of peak torque at 7500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It also gets new ride-by-wire throttle technology and an 'electronic throttle grip' (electromotive throttle controller) for improved throttle response. The claimed top speed of the motorcycle is 143 kmph and it can run from 0-50 kmph in just 2.5 seconds. The new G310 GS BS6 will deliver around 30-35 kmpl of mileage in real-world conditions.

2020 BMW G310 R BS6: Tyres, Brakes and Features
The new BMW G310 GS sits on a tubular spaceframe chassis. It gets 41 mm USD or upside-down forks at the front and a pre-load adjustable mono-shock absorber at the rear. For braking duties, it gets 300 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear. The motorcycle is equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard. The G310 GS rides on radial tubeless tyres. The front tyre is a 110/80 section 19-inch unit while at the rear, it gets a 150/70 section 17-inch tyre. Talking about features, the new G310 GS gets an all-digital instrument cluster loaded with a ton of information. It now also gets an assist & slipper clutch and four-step adjustable brake and clutch levers.
2020 BMW G310 R BS6: Price, Rivals and Verdict
The new 2020 BMW G310 GS BS6 has been launched at Rs. 2.85 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. However, the new Kyanite Blue Metallic (Style Rallye) colour variant demands 6,000 rupees premium and is priced at Rs. 2.91 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. At this price point, it rivals against the KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan and some other naked and fully-faired motorcycles. Finally, talking about the verdict, so if you want an adventure tourer with good styling, decent performance, loads of features and BMW's brand value, then you should surely consider buying the new G310 GS BS6.
