BMW Motorrad has today finally launched the new BS6-compliant BMW G310 Twins in India. The new BMW G310 R and the G310 GS BS6 are now more feature-loaded, have received cosmetic updates and a big price cut too! The new BMW G310 R BS6 is priced at Rs. 2.45 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi, which is around 55,000 rupees cheaper than before. So, the new BMW G310 R BS6 is available in three colour variants. They are Cosmic Black (Black and White), Polar White (Blue and White) and a new Style Sport colour variant. The colour variant which we have with us is the new Style Sport colour variant. This colour variant gets a three-tone colour treatment of Black, White and Red. This new Style Sport colour variant of the G310 R BS6 looks very charming and sporty.
Let us give you a pictorial walkthrough of the motorcycle. So, starting from the front, as you can see, it now gets a new all-LED headlamp with BMW LED branding and a daytime-running LED in between. The new Beemers also get LED turn indicators which glow and blink in a triangular pattern and it looks so cool. Also, we get LED taillamps at the rear.
Then, moving to the side one can see golden-coloured upside-down (USD) forks at the front with reflectors on either side. The motorcycle now gets revised tank extensions, new belly pan and radiator shrouds which makes it much more sporty than before. The new three-tone colour scheme with red inserts further complements the overall sportiness of the machine.
This new Style Sport colour variant of the BMW G310 R BS6 even gets red-coloured exposed trellis frame and the alloys are also finished in red. It gets a high-raised rear-end design with a single-piece seat and aluminium finish on the exhaust. Overall, the new BMW G310 R BS6 looks really good and much better than before.
This new environment-friendly Beemer is powered by a new BS6-compliant 313cc single-cylinder, liquid/water-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor churns out 34 PS of max. power at 9500 RPM and 28 Nm of peak torque at 7500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
It also gets new ride-by-wire throttle technology and an electronic throttle grip (electromotive throttle controller) for improved throttle response. The claimed top speed of the motorcycle is 143 kmph. The new BS6-compliant G310 Twins also get a four-step adjustable brake lever.
The motorcycle rides on 110/80 section 19-inch front and 150/70 section 17-inch rear tyre. Also, worth mentioning is that these are radial tubeless tyres. The new G310 R gets disc brakes at either end with dual-channel ABS as standard. The new G310 Twins now also get a slipper clutch.
Finally, talking about the price, so the new BMW G310 R BS6 is priced at Rs. 2.45 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. It is around 55,000 rupees cheaper than its BS4 counterpart as the BS4-compliant G310 R was priced at Rs. 2.99 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. If we talk about the BS6-compliant G310 GS, which is its adventure-tourer variant, that has been now priced at Rs. 2.85 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
