With the BS6 norms coming into action, BMW updated its line-up with a number of changes and BS6 compliant engines. What's New?
The new 2020 BMW X1 BS6 now features an updated front facia, new alloy wheels, and tweaked light designs and an updated features list. In addition to this, the car now only gets a two-wheel-drive drivetrain as the brand has decided to axe of the AWD xDrive 20d from the line-up. With this being said, X1 continues to get two powertrain options while the prices of the car now start from Rs 35.90 lakh.

Engine, Gearbox, and Performance
The X1 facelift is powered by the same two powertrain options - a 2.0L turbo petrol engine and a 2.0L turbo-diesel engine. The petrol engine churns out 192 hp while the peak torque output stands at 280 Nm. This engine comes mated to a 7-Speed Steptronic Sport Transmission and also features BMW Driving Experience Control as well.
The second engine on offer is the 2.0-L twin-turbo diesel engine that delivers maximum power and torque output of 190 hp and 400 Nm respectively. Unlike the petrol engine, this engine comes mated to an 8-Speed Steptronic Sport Transmission and gets a claimed fuel economy of 19.62 kmpl.
Exterior Looks and Design
With the facelift, the BMW X1 now features a number of changes in the overall design. the kidney grilles at the front have grown in size while the headlamps too look sharper and bold. The bumper design has been tweaked to complement the overall look while the car also features a new alloy wheel design. At the rear, things are kept single but those familiar with the previous-gen models will notice that the car now gets new taillights and updated bumper design. In all, the X1 is a smart-looking vehicle and now looks much more mature with the changes which have been made to it.

Interiors and Features
The interiors of the car remain similar and feel premium and upmarket. The seats at the front are comfortable and can be adjusted by electric control while at the rear, there is enough space for three people to sit in comfort. There are plenty of features available with this car and with the 2020 update, the X1 now gets a sunroof and a 10.25-inch touchscreen system.
