Datsun India is trying to regain the interest of Indian buyers with its refreshed products. Last year, we saw the launch of Datsun Go and Go+ facelift and recently they also got updated to BS6 emission norms. Now the Datsun is coming up with the facelift of their entry-level car- Datsun Redi-go. The images we have here today are of the 2020 Datsun Redi-go base D model and we will tell you what it has on offer.

The front of the Datsun Redi-go is completely changed and the biggest change is the new big single-frame grille. The grille gets chrome surroundings and the Datsun logo in the middle, either sides of the bumper are taken by the vertically stacked LED DRLS; just like we see in the Mahindra XUV300.
But as this is the base variant, it doesn't come with LED DRLs and the free space has been taken by chrome garnish. Coming to the side, you see 14-inch steel wheels without wheel caps; top variants will get alloy-styled wheel covers. There is also Datsun branding on either of the fenders but here those are blacked out.
Both the ORVMs and door handles are black whereas the top-end variants will get body-coloured ORVMs and door handles. The rear gets LED taillights which are standard in all the variants. The interior of the 2020 Datsun Redi-go is feature-packed but this base D model lacks features like a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, internally adjustable ORVMs, power steering, air conditioning and heater, dual airbags etc. Due to all these missing features, we would not recommend you buying this variant and you should go for A or T trims.

The engines offered on the Datsun Redi-go are 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engines which churns out 54 PS and 68 PS respectively. Both engines are paired to the 5-speed manual whereas the 1.0-litre engine will also get an option of 5-speed AMT. The launch of the Datsun Redi-go will happen soon, it was scheduled to happen in May but was called off due to prolonged lockdown.
