Here is a table that lists the engine specifications and mileage of its petrol-powered arch-rivals which includes the sub-4-metre compact SUVs like Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara-Brezza and Ford Ecosport:
Model | WR-V Facelift | Nexon | Venue | Vitara Brezza | Ecosport |
Petrol Engine | 1.2-litre NA | 1.2-litre turbocharged | 1.2-litre NA / 1.0-litre turbocharged | 1.5-litre NA with mild-hybrid | 1.5-litre NA |
Max. Power | 90 PS | 120 PS | 83 PS / 120 PS | 105 PS | 123 PS |
Max. Torque | 110 Nm | 170 Nm | 114 Nm / 172 Nm | 138 Nm | 150 Nm |
Manual Gearbox | 5-speed | 6-speed | 5-speed / 6-speed | 5-speed | 5-speed |
Automatic Gearbox | Not Offered | 6-speed AMT | Not Offered / 7-speed DCT | 4-speed AT | 6-speed AT |

BS6 AT Mileage (ARAI) | N/A | 16.0 kmpl | N/A / 18.0 kmpl | 18.76 kmpl | 14.7 kmpl |
So, as you can see in the table above, all the crossovers get different naturally-aspirated petrol engines with displacement ranging from 1.2-litre to 1.5-litre. Also, Nexon and Venue come equipped with a turbocharged petrol engine which delivers more power and offers better performance compared to the naturally-aspirated petrol mill of the same displacement. If we talk about mileage, the 1.0-litre turbocharged mill of Venue offers the highest mileage in manual transmission category while in the class of automatic, Vitara Brezza tops the chart as it also gets a mild-hybrid system.
Now, here is a table that lists the engine specifications and mileage of its diesel-powered arch-rivals which includes Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Ford Ecosport. Remember, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza doesn't get an oil-burner in the BS6 era and so it has not been included in this comparo.
Model | WR-V Facelift | Nexon | Venue | Ecosport |
Diesel Engine | 1.5-litre turbocharged | 1.5-litre turbocharged | 1.5-litre turbocharged | 1.5-litre turbocharged |
Max. Power | 100 PS | 110 PS | 100 PS | 100 PS |
Max. Torque | 200 Nm | 260 Nm | 240 Nm | 215 Nm |

BS6 AT Mileage (ARAI) | N/A | 22.4 kmpl | N/A | N/A |
As can be seen in the table above, the 2020 Honda WR-V Facelift BS6 is the most fuel-efficient car in its class with a manual gearbox whereas if we see the automatic transmission category, we have the only contender which is the Tata Nexon with a 6-speed AMT gearbox and so its the clear winner. We haven't included Mahindra XUV 300 in our comparo as its BS6 Mileage figures haven't been revealed yet.
Model | WR-V Facelift | Nexon | Venue | Vitara Brezza | Ecosport |
