We are just a few days away to witness the launch of the all-new Hyundai i20. In the meantime, we have got some interesting leaks about the specs and features of the car which is expected to disrupt the premium hatchback segment. Hyundai has loaded the new 2020 i20 to the brim with a ton of impressive features never seen before in this segment.
The new Hyundai i20 has been spied multiple times in dealer's stockyard and the leaked features are very interesting. The exterior looks of the new i20 are very sharp and menacing. The front nose is sharp and angular whereas the rear section has z-shaped LED taillights which may have mixed opinions. Talking about features, the exterior gets LED headlights, LED DRLs, LED projectors, 16-inch alloy wheels, electric sunroof, LED taillights and shark fin antenna.
Coming to the interiors of the new Hyundai i20, the layout is identical to the euro-spec model but the screens are changed. The digital instrument cluster we will get in the top trims of the i20 is the one we get in Verna too. On the other hand, the Euro-spec i20 comes with 2021 Elantra's instrument cluster. Hyundai is also offering the big 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment which gets Android Auto, Apple Car Play and Bluelink.
Talking about other features, we will get automatic climate control, 6 airbags, wireless charging, cabin air purifier, rear AC vents, cruise control, steering mounted controls, tilt & telescopic steering, tyre pressure monitoring system, electric sunroof, Bose sound system among other features. However, Hyundai hasn't offered paddle shifters which is a lost opportunity to make it a perfect hatchback.

The second engine is the 1.5-litre WGT diesel engine with 100 PS and 240 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual only. The last engine on offer will be the 1.0-litre turbo petrol with 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque, mated to 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT.

Hyundai is expected to launch the new i20 on 28th October and if that doesn't come true, the launch will happen around the festive season. The pricing of the 2020 Hyundai i20 will be higher than before given the number of features Hyundai has thrown in. We expect Hyundai to price the new i20 from 5.5 lakh whereas the top-end Asta(O) will cross the 10 lakh price bracket.
