Just yesterday we did a list of top 10 upcoming cars and SUVs that will launch in July 2020 and Hyundai Tucson facelift was one such SUV on the list. The mid-cycle facelifted Tucson will cater to some exterior changes, features and updated petrol and diesel engines.
Here we have a walkaround of the 2020 Hyundai Tucson facelift in its top-spec GLS AWD avatar. Now, sharing details about the front then you get new headlight design with integrated L-shaped DRL which is inverted in shape. Also, the L-shaped pattern in the fog lights too.
You also notice the signature cascading grille which has not grown in size and gets chrome surrounds. Both the front and rear bumper are tweaked and gets diffuser which gives the SUV a sporty look. The side profile more or less remains the same as it gets the same old black cladding which gives the SUV a crossover kinda look. The new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels really give it a fresh look.

If you look closely then the SUV gets more chrome surround than before. It is well noticed at the front grille, window garnish, door handles and do notice the twin tip exhaust at the rear which gives it a really good look. Other than that it continues with the Hyundai badging at the rear, shark fin antenna, roof rails, integrated spoiler and among others.
Jumping to the interiors then Hyundai now gives it an all-black theme which looks really good in real. What's new is the wireless charging, one-touch panoramic sunroof which makes it good for the competition. You also get an electrically adjustable driver and co-driver seat and electronic parking brake in the facelifted Tucson. Even in the top-spec model, you get rake adjustable steering wheel. That's a disappointment now, ain't it?
Also, the Tucson now gets a floating type touchscreen infotainment system which supports modern connectivity features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and even Voice Command. Hyundai's BlueLink technology which was first seen in the Venue continues here. It lets you control as much as 34+ connected features.

What the 2020 Tucson misses on is the smart air purifier which is seen in the 2020 Creta too. Or the regular air purifier which comes in the Venue. Seems like this is a cost-cutting from Hyundai. You do get fast charging point so communication is readily available on the go. Also, the analogue instrument cluster just makes the SUV a bit old than before.
Under the hood, the new-age Tucson will feature the same 2.0-litre petrol and 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine but now with BS6 upgrade. You get a 6-speed auto in the petrol but the diesel now gets upgraded to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. You also see AWD option but only in the diesel engine.
Power figures on the 2.0L petrol make 150 bhp with peak torque of 192 Nm while the oil burner makes 182 bhp with 400 Nm of torque. The prices of this SUV is expected to stick between Rs 18 lakh to Rs 22.50 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Once launched, it will compete with Volkswagen T-Roc, Jeep Compass and more.
