A few weeks ago, we shared with you details that the new Mahindra Mojo BS6 will be launched soon in the country. Now, Mahindra Two-wheelers has officially teased the upcoming BS6-compliant Mojo 300 ABS. The company has teased the motorcycle with a new tagline #NewGemsInYourCrown. The new 2020 Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6 will be launched really soon in India and here we have for you all the details about this motorcycle.
The Mahindra Mojo has always been a fantastic tourer. In fact, upon its launch in 2015, it was one of the best tourers in its class. The Mojo has been always famous for its touring abilities, all thanks to its punchy performance, relaxed sitting posture and a large fuel tank. Earlier, the Mojo used to be available in two variants: base-spec UT300 and the top-spec XT300. However, in 2019 Mahindra launched a single variant of the motorcycle with ABS that was based on the UT300. The new Mojo BS6 will be completely identical to the Mojo 300 ABS.
Aesthetically, the Mojo 300 has a striking appeal. It gets twin-pod headlamps at the front. The side profile of the motorcycle houses the chunky exhaust, big radiator shrouds and a belly pan for engine protection. At the rear, it gets a LED taillamp. The Mojo 300 gets chunky telescopic forks at the front and a gas-charged mono-shock absorber at the rear. The motorcycle gets disc brakes at both the ends with an additional safety aid of dual-channel ABS. It runs on 17-inch tubeless tyres. We don't expect the BS6 Mojo to sport any cosmetic changes but it might get a new colour scheme.

The Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6 is expected to be powered by the same engine that also powers the BS6-compliant Jawa Classic and Jawa Forty-Two. It will get a BS6-compliant 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This motor will churn out around 26.51 PS of power and 27.05 Nm of torque. It will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Also, the BS6 Jawa Forty-Two and Jawa Classic feature India's first cross port technology on a motorcycle and we expect the same technology to feature in Mojo too.
Lastly, talking about the price and launch timeline. So, the new 2020 Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6 will be launched really soon. The last recorded price of the BS4-compliant Mahindra Mojo ABS was Rs. 1.89 lakhs, Ex-showroom. We expect the BS6-compliant Mojo 300 ABS to be priced in the ballpark of Rs. 2 lakhs, Ex-showroom. Upon launch, it will rival against the Bajaj Dominar 250, KTM Duke 250, Husqvarna Twins, Royal Enfield Classic 350, Himalayan 400, Jawa Classic, Jawa 42 and also the Bajaj Dominar 400.
