Since the past few weeks, we have seen a lot of test mules and teasers of the upcoming Mahindra Mojo BS6. Mahindra has been teasing this motorcycle almost daily on its social media handles to build hype for the Mojo 300 BS6. Now finally, Mahindra Two-wheelers has launched this Ultimate Tourer in the BS6-compliant avatar. Bajaj Dominar 400 rival, the new Mojo is finally here. The Price of the new 2020 Mahindra Mojo BS6 starts at Rs. 1.99 lakhs, Ex-showroom Pan-India. Here we have for you some more details about it.
First of all, we will be talking about the powerplant. Prior to its launch, it was expected that the Mojo will borrow the mill from the Jawa Classic and the Forty-Two. However, that is not the case. Mahindra has upgraded the older 294.72cc engine of the Mojo to meet the new stringent BS6 emission norms. It now gets a BS6-compliant 294.72cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine with Dual Overhead Camshaft (DOHC). This new BS6-compliant motor churns out 25.7 PS of power at 7300 RPM and 25.9 Nm of peak torque at 6000 RPM.
The Mojo now produces 0.5 PS lesser power at lower RPM and 2.1 Nm lesser torque at higher RPM in the rev range compared to the BS4 model. For reference, the BS4-compliant motor used to produce 26.2 PS of power at 7500 RPM and 28 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and it gets ECU based digital electronic ignition. The motorcycle features telescopic front forks and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. It gets disc brakes at either end with dual-channel ABS as an additional safety aid.
Talking about other changes, so the new Mojo has got cosmetic tweaks to make the motorcycle look more enchanting. The new Mahindra Mojo BS6 is available in four new colour options. These are Ruby Red, Black Pearl, Garnet Black and Red Agate. Although it doesn't get any changes for the body panels, the new colour schemes look really good and they enhance its aesthetic appeal. Upfront, it gets a twin-pod headlamp with a small blacked-out visor. The side profile gets new dual-tone colour shade with attractive body graphics. It gets a chunky exhaust, belly pan and LED taillamps too.

With the BS6 update, the Mahindra Mojo has gained some weight too. The BS4 Mojo used to weigh 181.5 kilograms but with the BS6 transition, it has gained roughly 5 kgs. It now weighs 186.2 kilograms. The other dimensions remain the same as before, save for the seat height. It measures 2115 mm in length, 800 mm in width and 1150 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1460 mm and gets a massive 21-litres fuel tank. The saddle height (seat-height) now stands at 830 mm while the BS4 model was 815 mm.
Now, finally coming to the main question, how much does it cost. So, the starting price of the new 2020 Mahindra Mojo BS6 is Rs. 1,99,900, Ex-showroom Pan-India.
