Royal Enfield has today finally launched the new Meteor 350 BS6 in India. The newly launched Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is an all-new motorcycle. It gets a new chassis, new engine, macho look, loads of features and also, it has been priced quite well. The Meteor 350 is a very important motorcycle for Royal Enfield as it is a very big launch from the company after a really long time. 2020 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 BS6 - Looks and Colour Options
The new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is a very handsome looking motorcycle. It has a macho appeal with retro charm. At the front, it gets a round-shaped halogen headlamp with ring-shaped LED DRL and round turn indicators. Being a retro cruiser, some of its variants get plenty of chrome accents too. Moving to the side profile, one can see that it has comfortable ergonomics. It gets a high-raised handlebar, forward-set footpegs, a large fuel tank and split seat set-up that is super comfortable. There is also a back-rest for the pillion seat and at the rear, it gets a round-shaped LED taillamp with some gloss black touches.
Talking about variants and colour options, the new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is available in three variants. They are Fireball, Stellar and Supernova. The Fireball variant of the motorcycle is available in two solid gloss colour shades - Yellow and Red. The Meteor 350 Stellar variant is available in three colour options - Gloss Metallic Red, Gloss Metallic Blue and Matte Black. It also gets a top of the line Supernova variant that comes loaded with a lot of goodies like a big windscreen, chrome accents, etc. that further enhances its appeal. It is available in two dual-tone colour shades - Blue and Brown.

2020 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 BS6 - Engine, Transmission and Mileage
The 2020 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is powered by an all-new J-series engine that has been developed ground up. It is a newly developed BS6-compliant 349cc, single-cylinder, air-oil-cooled engine and it also gets an electronic fuel-injection system. This motor churns out 20.2 PS of maximum power at 6100 RPM and 27 Nm of peak torque at 4000 RPM. This new engine comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Royal Enfield also claims that the engine has a balancer shaft to reduce vibrations to a great extent. Talking about fuel-efficiency, we expect the Meteor 350 BS6 to deliver around 30-35 kmpl of mileage in real-world conditions.
2020 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 BS6 - Tyres, Brakes and Features
The new Royal Enfield Meteor 350 gets alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. The front tyre of the motorcycle measures 100/90-19 while at the rear, it gets a 140/70-section 17-inch unit. For braking duties, it gets disc brakes at either end. At the front, it gets a 300 mm disc while the rear one is a 270 mm unit and it gets dual-channel ABS too. Also, it is based on the company's new J1D platform and gets a new twin downtube spine frame. The suspension duties are performed by 41 mm telescopic forks at the front and at the rear, it gets dual spring-loaded shock absorbers with 6-step adjustable preload.
Now, talking about features, the new 2020 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is very feature-loaded. In fact, it is the most technologically-advanced Royal Enfield motorcycle we have ever seen to date! The motorcycle gets twin-pod cluster for instrumentation, one of them is an analogue cluster with a small MID in between. The main cluster displays a ton of information including gear-position indicator, service reminder, fuel bar graph, clock etc. The other one is a separate digital cluster that is powered by Google. It is compatible with Royal Enfield's mobile application with the help of Bluetooth connectivity and gets turn-by-turn navigation and some other features.
2020 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 BS6 - Price, Rivals and Verdict
Finally, talking about the price, the price of the newly launched 2020 Royal Enfield Meteor BS6 starts at Rs. 1.75 lakhs for the base Fireball variant. The Stellar variant is priced at Rs. 1.81 lakhs and the top of the line Supernova variant is priced at Rs. 1.90 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. The bookings for the motorcycle are already open and its deliveries will also commence soon. It rivals against the Honda H'Ness CB 350, Jawa Classic, Jawa Forty-Two, RE Classic 350 and Benelli Imperiale 400 in the Indian market. Talking about the verdict, so the new RE Meteor 350 is much better than other 350cc Enfields and if you want a comfy RE with good looks, a ton of features and good powertrain, then you should surely get the Meteor 350.
