Skoda India Private Limited is all buckled-up to launch not just one or two but three new cars in its gigantic all-digital launch event on May 26, 2020. The Czech car manufacturer will be launching the facelifted Rapid BS6, the new Superb Facelift and the new 2020 Karoq SUV. Also, Skoda has already started accepting bookings for all these three digitally via its official website. A few days ago, the Karoq SUV was spotted on the Indian roads and now it has been spied again and this time at a service bay of a dealership. The 2020 Skoda Karoq SUV is a mid-sized SUV that is positioned below the Kodiaq in the brand's India line-up. In fact, in terms of looks too, the new Karoq SUV looks like a scaled-down Kodiaq. Upfront it gets Skoda's signature large butterfly grille flanked by split all-LED headlamps. It also gets LED DRLs and a C-shaped LED taillamp positioned at the rear. Overall, the SUV looks quite neat & clean with minimal fancy design cues and will have a good road presence. The leaked image also reveals its side profile which shows that it gets machined-cut dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels.
Now, let's hop on to its interior. The leaked image of the Karoq SUV reveals its dashboard layout and it features a dual-tone black and beige interior. Talking about features, the new Karoq SUV is loaded with features up to the brim. It gets a massive panoramic sunroof, Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster, a big 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartLink connectivity, dual-zone climate control, ambient lights and much more. The 2020 Skoda Karoq SUV Interior spied images also reveal that it will get a faux leather upholstery finished in the beige shade and the driver seat will be a 12-way adjustable electrically-controlled unit.

Powering the Karoq SUV will be a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol motor that will deliver around 150 PS of power and will come mated to a 7-speed DSG. Skoda will launch the new Karoq SUV in India as a CBU and thus it will come in a single feature-loaded 'Style' trim. The new SUV will be available in six colour options: Magic Black, Lava Blue, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Magnetic Brown and Quartz Grey. The bookings for the same has already begun and it can be booked via the company's website by paying a token amount of Rs. 50,000. The new Karoq SUV is expected to be priced around Rs. 22 lakhs, Ex-showroom.
