Suzuki Motor Company is known for making premium high-end motorcycles. The Japanese bike manufacturer showcased the near-production model of its GSX-S300 in 2018 at the Chongqing Mobo Fair. And, now this stunning-looking naked streetfighter is all set to hit the roads. So, today we will be talking about this all-new 2020 Suzuki GSX-S300. First of all, let me clear your confusion. Some of you might think that it is called a Suzuki bike but doesn't carry a Suzuki logo, why? So, the answer is that the pictures you are currently seeing on your screens are of the Haojue DR300. Haojue is Suzuki's local partner and distributor exclusively for the Chinese markets. The Haojue DR300 will be first launched in China on the 16th of June, 2020 and will be sold as the Suzuki GSX-S300 in other international markets.
In terms of styling, the Haojue DR300 (Suzuki GSX-S300) does look very sporty and futuristic. It is a fantastic-looking naked streetfighter. Upfront, it gets a robotic-shaped all-LED headlamp with integrated day-time running LEDs. It looks very striking, thanks to its distinctive headlight cowl, muscular 16-litre fuel tank with edgy tank shrouds and more. It features sharp design elements all over the body and also gets an engine-cowl, high-raised tail section with step-up seats and a LED taillamp.

In terms of hardware, it gets golden USD forks from KYB at the front and a 7-step preload-adjustable mono-shock absorber at the rear. The braking duties are handled by huge petal disc at both the ends and it also gets a dual-channel ABS from Bosch as an additional safety feature. The bike gets an all-digital instrument cluster loaded with a ton of information. Suzuki is also offering USB charging port, clip-on handlebars, back-lit switchgear and more. It runs on attractive 17-inch alloy wheels.
Talking about the powertrain, this new Suzuki GSX-S300 is powered by a 298cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine. It churns out 29.23 PS of power at 8500 RPM and 27.8 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM. The engine comes coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The on-paper specs won't excite you much but remember its a twin-cylinder bike, so it will be very refined and will offer linear performance. In fact, it has been tuned to better low and mid-range punch, good fuel economy and the bike also gets push and pull throttle cable.
Lastly, talking about the launch timeline and price of this motorcycle. The Suzuki GSX-S300 will be launched in China on June 16, 2020, and will make its debut in other Asian countries soon. However, its India launch is uncertain and we don't expect Suzuki will launch it in India in the near future. That's because it is a twin-cylinder bike and keeping the price in-check will be a difficult task for the company. That said, it is expected to be priced in China in the ballpark of CNY 33,000 - 35,000, which roughly translates to around Rs. 3.51 lakhs - Rs. 3.72 lakhs.
