After getting unveiled last month, the 2021 Force Gurkha has finally made it to the market at Rs 13.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model is available only in one variant and bookings are now underway at all authorised dealerships for a token amount of Rs 25,000. The new SUV can be bought in any of the five available colours Red, Green, White, Grey and Orange. Moreover, the 2021 Gurkha is being sold with a segment-best warranty of 1.5 lakh km/3 years along with four free services.

Exterior
One of the many changes that youre likely to notice as soon as you lay your eyes on the new off-roader is that the Gurkha logo has taken the position of the Force logo found on the front grille of the earlier iteration. Meanwhile, the signature knife of the Gurkhas has been moved from the left of the brands logo to the right. The 2021 model of the off-roader comes with an air intake snorkel and features full LED Force Pro Edge headlamps. Even the fender-mounted turn indicators are LED units. More or less, the classic G-Wagon-like design of the original off-roader has been retained but the new elements, especially the LED fixtures, have infused some freshness with the design.

Safety Features
When it comes to the safety features, the 201 Force Gurkha is certainly better equipped than the model it has replaced. The new model features dual front airbags along with ABS with EBD. Other than this, it even offers ISOFIX child seat anchors and a full metal top. The latter is something that makes the SUV the only model in its segment to provide this feature.
Specifications
Powering the 2021 Force Gurkha is a new 2.6-litre Mercedes-derived diesel engine that benefits from turbocharging as well as common rail direct injection. It outputs a maximum power of 91bhp along with a peak torque of 250Nm. The new model offers 4x4 low first gear in crawl mode and even has a water-wading capacity of 700mm. The Gurkha can tackle slopes of up to 35 degree. The motor is mated to a Mercedes G28 5-speed manual transmission that works in tandem with a hydraulically activated clutch that ensures smooth and effortless gearshifts. The Gurkha even offers a shortest-in-segment turning radius of 5.6-metre. One of the biggest highlights include manually operated mechanical differential locks on all four wheels.
Interior
Compared to the earlier iteration, the 2021 Force Gurkha is considerably more spacious. The increase in width has surely translated into a roomier cabin. The SUV offers captain seats for all four occupants and the carmaker claims that its new off-roader even provides the users with the segment-best legroom, headroom and elbow room. Even the boot space, at 500-litre, is pretty decent and easily a lot more than what arch-rival Mahindra Thar offers. The interior is finished in black and the dashboard holds a touchscreen infotainment unit that is compatible with Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay. All four seats get dedicated USB charging ports. Other features on offer include tilt and telescopic adjustment for the steering wheel, electric windows, central locking, rear parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring system, cornering lamps and rear wash wipe.
