BMW will soon launch the updated BMW X3 in India. Pre-bookings for the same have started, both online and at BMW dealerships across India.
BMW had updated the X3 for the international market in 2021 itself. The same model is specced for India and is scheduled for launch in the coming days. Pre-bookings for the 2022 facelift BMW X3 have already gone live on BMWs India website, and at all dealerships across the country.
The 2022 X3 will feature subtle changes, both on the exterior and interiors. Mechanically, it is expected to remain the same but the specificities are yet to be confirmed. 2022 BMW X3 Facelift: Styling Updates
The changes on the outside might be subtle, but theyre distinct. For instance, the kidney grille is larger than before and is further complemented by new angular-shaped LED headlights. The front bumper is revised, with new blacked-out angular air dams. The aluminium finish on the window surrounds and roof rail will catch your glimpse from the side. At the rear, the taillights have a distinct dark tint, and the updated rear bumper with dual exhaust tips, finish off the overall sporty quotient of the 2022 X3 SUV. Customers will also get the opportunity to upgrade their X3 with optional 20-inch M wheels.
The interior receives minor changes as well, starting off with the revised centre console. The dashboard looks and feels similar to the latest 4 series coupe. The redesigned climate control knob and AC vents are instantly recognizable, aside from the massive 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 12.3-inch free-standing infotainment screen.

The 2022 X3 will also feature the latest generation of BMWs iDrive connected technology. Speaking of entertainment, the X3 will come filled to the brim with standard features like 16-speaker Harmon Kardon surround sound system, 3-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and memory functions for front seats.
2022 BMW X3 Facelift: Engine and Specs
The 2022 BMW is expected to carry forward the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and turbo-diesel engine option. The former produces 248 hp @ 5200 rpm and 350 Nm of maximum torque between 1450-4800 rpm. The diesel engine, on the other hand, produces 190 hp@4000 rpm and 400 Nm of peak torque between 1750-2500 rpm.
The last iteration of the X3 was available in 4 variants, and all came with BMWs x-Drive all-wheel drive train, so the 2022 X3 will follow the same path.

International models are also available with plug-in hybrid drive trains and all-electric drive trains, but whether the India-spec gets that, is yet to be confirmed. Theres no confirmation on the bigger, 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol and diesel engine, as well.
2022 BMW X3 Facelift: Expected Price and Rivals
The BMW X3 is expected to have a premium price tag between Rs 55 lakhs to Rs. 80 lakh. When launched here, it will compete against the likes of the Volvo XC60, Land Rover Discovery Sport, and Mercedes-Benz GLC.
