The bookings of the new and updated, 2022 Hyundai Venue have commenced from Rs 21,000 across all dealerships and on their website. Now, new info about the variants and transmission options of the 2022 Hyundai Venue is now out. This compact SUV will be made available in five variants only.
Mechanically, Hyundai Venue will be powered by three engine options - a 1.5L turbocharged diesel motor, 1.0L turbocharged petrol and a 1.2L non-turbo petrol. The 1.2L non-turbo petrol will be seen in the E, S, S(O) and SX. This engine will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission only and there is no automatic available as an option.
The 1.0-litre T-GDI motor will churn out 118 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 172 Nm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed iMT as standard and 7-speed DCT as an option. Both the gearbox options are made available in the S(O) and SX(O) only.

The oil burner makes 99 bhp of power with maximum torque of 240 Nm. This engine is paired to a six-speed manual transmission only. This engine and transmission option is available with S Plus, SX and SX(O) variants only. Its sibling, Kia Sonet also offers a 6-speed AT as an option with the 1.5L diesel motor.
Feature-wise, the Hyundai Venue now gets LED projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillight bar, diamond-cut alloy wheels, a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto HVAC function, wireless charging, four-spoke steering wheel, dual-tone interior, fully digital instrument cluster and more.

Once launched, the 2022 Hyundai Venue will rival Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Brezza, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite and Toyota Urban Cruiser. We expect the prices of the new Venue to stick between Rs 8 lakh to Rs 12 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
