Organized by Norther Motorsports, 2022 India Speedfest is here. We pitch you through all the details of the upcoming event.
If you're even minutely interested in motorsports and want a go-shot to test your enthusiasm, your skills, and most importantly your machine then here is a chance for you. Called '2022 India Speedfest'; this event will help you find out your true potential behind the steering wheel. Organized by Northern Motorsports, the Indian Speedfest will be conducted on 13 March 2022 on the proving grounds of Buddha International Circuit, Greater Noida.
Compromising of mainly 3 racing categories, we explain you the racing formats, the rules, and most important the entry fees.
Drag
As the name suggests, Drag racing event will conclude the straight line racing. This will involve participants of same class and group to compete their machines in a straight line.
Drag Groups
Drag groups mainly include 3 types - Junior, Open, and Ladies.
The Junior group will include a competition between contenders with an age limit below 21. These participants must meet the eligibility criteria for the FMSI competition license. The Open Group will include participants from any age group whilst the ladies group will involve a separate competition between female rivals.
Drag Classes
Northern Motorsports have separated the drag classes into 5 various categories as follows:
1. Vehicles with engine capacity up to 1500cc
2. Engine capacity between 1501 - 2500cc
3. Engine capacity between 2501 - 4500cc
4. Engine capacity above 4500cc
5. EV
The organizers have created a single pack of 5 runs in the Drag format. This package will cost one participant Rs 18,000.

Moto Track Day
Solely aimed towards a competition between motorcycles, the Moto Track Day will establish racing events between motorcycle riders. The Moto Track Day do not include any further categories and is open to all kind of participants and machines.
Norther Motorsports has created a single pack of 4 sessions for this racing format. Each of the session will last 20 minutes free-hand. The cost of Moto Track Day is Rs 18,000 inclusive of taxes, registration fees, indemnity, and FMSCI one day license to race.
Solo
Solo race format is the main star of the 2022 India Speedfest as it is aimed towards solo time attack event. A number of options, classes and groups have been included in the solo race format. Even the list of rules is long and differ between every category.
Solo Groups
The Solo format has 4 different groups:
1. AM STREET - This group is dedicated to the amateur drivers with stock cars.
2. PRO STREET - This group consists of professional/experienced drivers competing with stock cars.
3. SPORT - This group consists of amateur/professional drivers in restricted modified cars. This means the cars competing have limited set of modifications.
4. PRO SPORT - The most brutal group in all of the events is the Pro Sport which contains amateur/professional drivers in unrestricted modified cars.
Solo Classes
The Solo racing format has 7 different classes:
1. Cars with engine capacity up to 1300cc
2. 1301 - 1650cc
3. 1651 - 2500cc
4. 2501 - 3500cc
5. Engine capacity above 3500cc
6. Ladies
7. Invitational Class - for cars which did not specify in any of the above classes.
Norther Motorsports have constructed a single pack run, pack of 2 runs, pack of 4 runs, and pack of 5 runs for the registered competitors. While the single run will cost you Rs 5,000; the maximum pack of 5 runs will cost the contender Rs 18,000.
