The 2022 Maruti Brezza is one of the most anticipated cars from the Indian carmaker. As close as we're to the launch of the compact SUV, multiple information regarding the powertrain, features and more are getting leaked. The latest one is related to the number of automatic variants available with the 2022 Maruti Brezza.
The new Brezza will be available in four trims - LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+ just as before. All these variants will get a manual transmission as standard, however, the new 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox will be seen on VXI, ZXI and ZXI+. The old 4-speed AT has now been replaced by the carmaker.
Powering the Brezza will be a new 1.5-litre, DualJet, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor. This is the same engine as seen on the Maruti XL6 and Ertiga. It belts out as much as 102 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 136.8 Nm. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is observed as an optional unit.

Feature-wise, the new Brezza will get a larger 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a head-up display, wireless charging, automatic climate control, cruise control, paddle shifters, 360-view camera and more.
Safety equipment on the 2022 Maruti Brezza includes six airbags, an anti-lock braking system with an electronic brake-force distribution, a high-speed alert system, front seat-belt reminder, reverse parking sensors, speed sensing door lock and more.

As far as the prices are concerned then we believe that the new Brezza will command a premium from Rs 40,000 to Rs 1 lakh for some of the variants. The current version is priced from Rs 7.84 lakh to Rs 11.33 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
