The fourth-generation Kia Carnival (KA4) MPV from the South Korean automaker was on display at the 2023 Auto Expo. In comparison to the third-generation Carnival, which is currently being sold in the Indian market, the fourth-generation Carnival features an entirely new design. With Kia's signature Tiger Nose grille, the design language becomes more SUV-like. The current generation Carnival will be replaced by this new one on the Indian market. The fourth generation Carnival was originally introduced by the company two years ago in the global market.

2023 Kia Carnival (KA4): Exterior Design, Interiors And Features
The 2023 Carnival receives a thorough redesign that includes new front, rear, and side profiles. Tiger Nose grille with a diamond design and LED projector headlamps are added to the front. Additionally, the rectangular headlight housing features LED DRLs. An LED fog lamp housing is added to the front lower profile. The MPV has flat body panels on the sides, giving it an SUV-like stance, and it is 5.1 mm long, providing extra interior room. The C-Pillar also receives a silver finish. LED tail lamps and a light bar are added to the back profile.
The Carnival's interior features two 12.3-inch full-TFT displays, one for the infotainment system in the dashboard and the other for the instrument console behind the steering wheel. In the centre console, the manufacturer has also installed new storage areas. Different seating arrangements and a VIP seat option are available on the Carnival's back. The VIP chairs will offer the back passengers the most luxury possible.
The features include ventilated seats, three-zone climate control, motorized sliding back doors, dual electric sunroofs, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, BOSE sound system, USB charging ports, optional rear seat entertainment units and additional convenience features. Kia offers a variety of standard driver-assistance technologies, such as blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights, and lane-keeping assistance. Also, the upper trims get a full ADAS suite, eight airbags, ABS, four-wheel disc brakes, a rear child door lock, and other safety features.
2023 Kia Carnival (KA4): Powertrain
The Carnival offers a variety of engine choices on the global market, and the model on display at the Expo is a global model. When the MPV is introduced in India, it is predicted that it will come with the current 2.2-litre diesel engine mated with an 8-speed transmission, which can provide 200bhp and 440Nm of torque.
Verdict: The 2023 Kia (KA4) Carnival will give tough competition to the newly launched Toyota Innova Hycross. The Carnival comes in different seating options and more features.
